The UPSC released the marks of the candidates recommended for the IES exam 2020. Gaurav Kumar Verma topped the Engineering Service Exam 2020. He scored 786 marks in the written exam. The UPSC released the IES result 2020 on April 12. The Union Public Service Commission releases the marks of the recommended candidates for all the exams. The candidates can check the marks of the recommended candidates to understand the preparation required to qualify in the IES Exam.
The IES exam is conducted every year to recruit the candidates for the specialised Engineering Service positions under the Central Government departments. The IES exam is conducted for four engineering branches. The IES exam is conducted for the following Engineering branches:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics and Telecommunications
The candidates should analyse the marks and the IES cut-off in the light of question papers. This will provide them with a clear understanding of the competition and the efforts required to clear the Engineering Service Exam.

The IES 2020 Exam was conducted on October 18 across the nation in offline mode. The candidates can check the IES Exam 2020 paper analysis and the question paper here. The IES exam was notified for 347 posts but only 307 candidates were recommended in the final IES result.
IES 2021 exam was notified on April 7 and the candidates can fill the IES 2021 applications till April 27. The IES 2021 exam will be conducted on July 18.
