There are negative markings in RRB ALP exam. 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam.

RRB ALP final answer key 2025 will be released after the declaration of the result. The examination authority releases the final answer key after the examining the objections submitted by the candidates.

RRB ALP CBT 2 exam pattern is given below.

Part A

Part A of CBT 2 comprises 100 objective-type questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering and General Awareness on Current Affairs. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. 

Part B

Part B of RRB ALP is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET). The duration of the test is 60 minutes. Total 75 questions are asked in the exam. This part is qualifying in nature and comprises questions from the trade syllabus prescribed  by the Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

The job profile of RRB ALP is given below:

1. Working as per directives given by the Loco Pilots
2. Assisting the Loco Driver with the fine-tuning of the locomotives
3. Referent assessment of the locomotive to check its efficiency
4. Minor repairing of the locomotive
5. Spotting the defects in the tracks and reporting them

Following are the allowances offered to RRB ALP:

1. House Rent Allowance
2. Dearness Allowance
3. Transport Allowance
4. Running Allowance (based on the kilometres travelled)

The structure of RRB ALP salary is given below.

The starting basic salary of RRB ALP is INR 19,900. The in-hand salary vary from INR 24000 to 34,000. 

The hard copy of RRB ALP result is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates need to download it online only.

The following factors affect RRB ALP cut off:

• Number of vacancies
• Difficulty level of the exam
• Number of test takers

The expected cutoff for RRB ALP exam is given below.

The scores of applicants are calculated on the basis of three parameters-raw score, prorated marks, and normalised marks.

• The raw score of the ALP exam is calculated out of a total of 75 marks

• The normalised marks are calculated to maintain equivalence among various question papers, as the exam is conducted in multiple shifts

RRB ALP qualifying marks are given below:

UR-40 per cent

OBC-30 per cent

SC-30 per cent

ST-25 per cent

This is done on the basis of the highest average marks and a sufficient number of candidates. The normalisation process by RRBs ensures a fair evaluation for all candidates appearing in the exam. It balances the varying difficulty levels across various shifts.
