MP Government Raise Upper Age Limit

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chauhan took Twitter to announce three-year relaxation in the upper age limit in PSC exams. The tweet implies that the PSC exams were not conducted during COVID-19. Various candidates exceeded the age limit during that period. To provide relaxation of three years to those candidates, the state government exceeded the upper age limit for the PSC exam for the next year.

This relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to the candidates who exceeded the age limit during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The details of the exam and the relaxation in age limit will be released with each notification by the exam conducting body.

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) could not conduct the PSC exams during the COVID-19 pandemic. The upper age limit for the general category candidates in the MPPSC exam is 33 years. Now the upper age limit for the candidates will be 36 years.

With this one-time opportunity, the candidates can join the PSC jobs by preparing efficiently for the exam. One more picture is also doing rounds on Twitter which is related to one more attempt in the Civil Service exam (IAS exam). The Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee in its March 2022 report recommended providing an extra attempt in the Civil Service Exam. But the authenticity of the news is not known and hence we do not support/reject the recommendations.

Now the question here is, whether the other state government will provide such a chance to the candidates. The coming time will tell how things unfold.
