NDA 1 admit card 2024 will be released online by UPSC. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with either registration number or roll number. 

The structure of NDA exam is given below.

The Army Aviators (Pilots) in Lt and above for Level 10 and above serving in the Army Aviation Corps are entitled to flying allowance of INR 25,000 (R1H1 of Risk and Hardship Matrix).

The highest NDA salary of an Officer is Level 18 which is INR 2,50,000. This salary is offered to Chief of Army Staff. The highest salary varies for different posts. The salary for the post of Lieutenant is INR 1,77,500 per month. The salary for Major General is INR 2,18,200 per month

On successful commissioning in Army, candidates are given the rank of Lieutenant. In Navy, candidates are given the rank of Sub Lieutenant. In Air Force, candidates are given the rank of Flying Officer. The starting NDA salary of an Officer is INR 56,100. This is the stipend offered to the candidates during the training period and the minimum salary that a Lieutenant gets. It keeps on increasing as per the level of the post.

Army group insurance fund is the compulsory contributory group scheme that provides insurance cover of INR 15 Lacs on payment of one time non-refundable premium of INR 6,400 for 3 years paid from the date of joining NDA till completion of training. In case of death, compensation is offered to the families. An ex-gratia amount of INR 12.5 Lacs or INR 9,000 per month is paid to the NoK. This will be provided on an ex-gratia basis and should not be considered with a pension.

Leave will be admissible in accordance with the rules in force from time to time.

• Lt: Level 10 (56,100-1,77,500)
• Capt: Level10 B (61,300-1,93,900)
• Maj: Level 11 (69,400-2,07,200)

Questions are asked from General Science, Indian history, Physics Geography, Chemistry and Current Events. Candidates must read the newspapers and watch news channels to know about the national and international events. Candidates must refer to the six months Current Affairs for NDA exam.

The Biology section carries topics such as cells and tissues, living and non-living organisms, human body and organs, development and reproduction in plants and animals, common epidemics – causes and preventions, balanced diet and food as an energy source for living beings, solar system, meteors, comets, eminent scientists and their achievements, etc. Candidates can refer to the high school books to clear their concepts.

NDA salary during the training period is given below.

NDA salary per month for Lieutenant is between INR 56,100-1,77,500. The highest NDA salary for Officer is INR 2,50,000 per month for the Chief of Army Staff.

The application fee for NDA exam is INR 100 for General/OBC candidates and can be paid online or offline. No fee is required for SC/ST/Sons of JCOs, Women/NCOs, ORs. 

NDA 2 application form 2024 will be released on May 15, 2024. The last date to apply for the exam is June 4, 2024. 

NDA 2 recruitment 2024 notification will be released on May 15, 2024. NDA 2 application form 2024 will be made available from May 15 to June 4, 2024.

The exam day guidelines for NDA 1 exam are given below:

• The entry gate closes 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam. For the morning session, the entry closes at 9.50 am while for the afternoon session, the entry closes at 1.50 pm
• Preserve the admit card till the declaration of the final NDA result 
• Candidates are responsible for the safe custody of their NDA admit cards
• Mobile phones, calculators, or any other electronic devices are banned inside the exam centre
• Candidates should bring a black point pen for marking the answers
• Candidates whose photograph is not printed on NDA admit card should bring photo identity proof and three passport-sized photographs for each session of the exam with an undertaking
• Candidates are advised to visit their NDA exam centre at least one day in advance to avoid any hassle on the day of the exam
• Use of normal or simple wristwatches is allowed inside the exam hall. Smartwatches are strictly prohibited
• Wearing a mask is mandatory for all candidates
• Candidates without a mask will not be allowed entry into the exam centre
• Candidates need to remove their masks for verification 
• Carry a personal bottle of small sanitiser (transparent bottle)
• Social distancing, as well as personal hygiene, should be maintained inside the exam centre

There is a negative marking in NDA exam. For incorrect answers in GAT 1.33 marks are deducted. For incorrect answers in Maths 0.83 marks are deducted.

NDA exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode. The Maths paper is held in the morning shift- 10:00 AM-12:30 PM and GAT is held in the afternoon shift from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM. 

Candidates need to bring the following documents for SSB interview:

• Original Class 12 passing certificate or equivalent in support of educational qualification

There are sectional cut off in NDA exam. Candidates need to secure 25 per cent in each section.

It is not compulsory to take the colour printout of NDA admit card to the exam centre. Candidates need to bring the printout of the admit along with the (original) Photo Identity Card to the exam centre.

Notion of limit, Standard limits, Continuity of functions, algebraic operations on continuous functions. Derivative of function at a point, geometrical and physical interpretation of a derivative-application. Derivatives of sum, product, and quotient of functions, derivative of a function concerning another function, derivative of a composite function. Second order derivatives. NDA 1 2024 answer key will be released after the exam is over on April 21, 2024. The answer key will be made available unofficially by the coaching institutes.

Air Force Cadets receive flying training for a period of 1½ years. However, at the end of one year of successful training, they are given provisional commission in the rank of Flying Officer. After the Air Force Cadets successfully complete further training of six months they are absorbed as permanent commissioned officers on probation for a period of one year. Air Force Ground Duties Branch Cadets receive streamwise specialist training for one year. After the successful completion of training, they are given a provisional commission in the rank of Flying Officer. They are further absorbed as permanent commissioned officers on probation of one year.

On passing out from the NDA, Naval cadets are selected for the Executive Branch of the Navy, and are also given further training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala for one year and, on successful completion of the training, they are promoted to the rank of Sub Lieutenants. Candidates who are selected for the Naval Academy under (Class 12 Cadet Entry Scheme) are inducted as Cadets for four-year B Tech course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialization) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch) as per Naval requirements. After the candidates complete the course they are awarded B Tech Degree by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

After the Army Cadets pass out from NDA, they go to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Cadets to Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Air Force cadets and Ground Duty-Non Tech streams to Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, and Air Force cadets of Ground Duty–Tech stream to Air Force Technical College, Bengaluru.

At the IMA Army Cadets are known as Gentlemen Cadets and are given arduous military training which is for one year and it is aimed at turning them into officers capable of leading infantry Subunits. After the Cadets have completed the training as Gentlemen Cadets they are granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lt subject to being medically fit in "SHAPE" one.

In case of equal marks in aggregate, the candidate senior in age may be placed at higher rank. In case of the candidates having same age and same aggregate marks, the candidate getting higher aggregate score in written papers may be placed at higher rank.

The GAT syllabus of NDA is divided into two parts. Part A comprises questions from English, while Part B carries questions from General Knowledge. Questions in English part are asked from Grammar and Usage, Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Cohesion. Candidates need to secure the overall and section-wise qualifying marks or cutoff marks in the exam. Candidates need to secure 25 per cent in each section.
