A total of 218 candidates have successfully cleared the final round of OPSC 2018 examination. Read to know more.

The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has declared the Odisha Civil Services result 2018. As many as 218 candidates including 72 women have cleared the final round of the examination. OCSE 2018 was topped by Debasis Panda followed by Rituparna Mohapatra. The top 10 scorers of the OPSC 2018 exam have 6 women candidates.

“Basis the Personality test of Odisha Civil Services Examination, 2018 which took place from December 12, 2019, to December 28, the Commission has provisionally selected a total of 218 candidates for appointment to the post/services under the Odisha Civil Services (Group A and Group B),” stated the notice issued by OPSC.

Debasis Panda, who topped the OPSC 2018, hails from Bonai, Sundergarh, Odisha. He completed his MSc in agriculture from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur after completing BSc from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. While talking about his preparation strategy for OPSC 2018, he said that he used to watch online tutorials and videos from internet for the preparation. OPSC 2018 was his second attempt. He also said that an aspirant should always analyse previous years’ question papers for the preliminary examinations. “Proper planning and focused studies make it easier to crack the preliminary examinations and also the main examinations,” he added.

Last year, 106 students had cleared the final round of examination, while in 2017, a total of 145 had cleared the OCSE out of the 290 candidates who had appeared for the Personality Test.
