Rahul Gandhi Condemns UPPSC RO/ARO Paper Leak Scandal Amidst Uproar in Uttar Pradesh
Furthermore, the UPPSC has called upon aspirants to submit evidence related to the paper leak by email, with February 27 set as the deadline for submission.
In a tumultuous turn of events, the alleged paper leak scandal surrounding the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) examinations has ignited widespread discontent and political upheaval across the state.Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is also on his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra has raised the issue of paper leak. The controversy, which saw question papers for the RO/ARO and police recruitment examinations leaked on social media platforms and WhatsApp groups, has prompted furious protests from aspirants and sharp condemnation from political leaders.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, currently on his Bharat Jodo Yatra, took to social media to condemn the Modi government, accusing it of betraying the aspirations of the country's youth. Gandhi's scathing remarks underscored the severity of the situation, as he lambasted the government's failure to ensure fair examinations, alleging a pattern of exploitation and favoritism.
Rahul Gandhi wrote on X, “Modi government has become the enemy of the 'country's future'! Somewhere students are yearning for recruitment, somewhere students are frustrated due to paper leak, somewhere students are making rounds of courts for appointment and somewhere students are facing lathicharge for raising their voice.”
Gandhi further added that the BJP government, which has failed to conduct even a single examination in a fair manner, from RO-ARO to police recruitment and from Railways to Army, is venting its anger on the youth.
“Selling job creating institutions to their friends and hiring youth on contract is Modi's policy and exploitation is Modi's guarantee. Modi government has eclipsed the dreams of students and their families and has taken away the light of hope from them. History will never forgive Narendra Modi for this crime,” Rahul Gandhi writes.
Meanwhile, students, adamant in their demand for justice, have staged demonstrations and labeled the UPPSC as the "Leak Service Commission." Calling for the cancellation of the RO/ARO examination, protesting students have highlighted the erosion of trust in the examination system and demanded accountability from the authorities.
In response to mounting pressure, the Uttar Pradesh government has initiated an investigation into the alleged irregularities surrounding the RO/ARO exam. The government has also announced plans for a reexamination of the police recruitment exam following vocal protests and criticism from opposition parties.
Furthermore, the UPPSC has called upon aspirants to submit evidence related to the paper leak by email, with February 27 set as the deadline for submission. This move by the commission aims to gather crucial information to aid in their investigation into the matter and ensure a fair and transparent resolution.
The controversy surrounding the paper leaks has laid bare the challenges confronting the education system and underscored the urgent need for transparency and integrity in examination processes. As the investigation unfolds and political tensions simmer, the fate of thousands of aspirants hangs in the balance, casting a shadow over the credibility of the state's recruitment procedures.
