The prelims cut off announced in 2022 is given below.

The cutoff for RBI Assistant prelims is calculated out of 100 marks. RBI declares RBI Assisant pre cutoff for English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.  Each question in the test is for one mark. There is also negative marking for wrong answers, ¼ marks are deducted as a penalty. RBI Assistant cutoff prelims is calculated after normalizing the marks of candidates. RBI office assistant cutoff marks for prelims exam is not counted for the final merit list. 

The RBI Assistant has negative marking scheme. 1/4 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in prelims and Mains exam. The exam pattern has been given below for the candidates: Number of Questions: 100 Total marks: 100 Marks for correct answer: +1 Deduction for incorrect answer: 0.25 Marks for unanswered question: 0 The marks of candidates are calculated based on the marking scheme. There are two ways to get a promotion in RBI:

Seniority Basis: After 10 years as an assistant, candidates will be promoted to special assistant and after that, they are eligible for senior assistant etc.

The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam is divided into three sections English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The payscale offered to candidates is INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300- 1440 (4) -30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850- 2850-55700 (20 years). Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. , as admissible from time to time. The monthly gross emoluments for RBI Assistant is INR 45,050.

There are sectional RBI Assistant cut off marks for prelims and Mains exams. Candidates are required to secure both the sectional and overall cut off marks. The cut off marks are decided based on the difficulty level of exam, number of vacancies, total marks, etc. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are selected for the subsequent rounds of selection process. The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam.
