The RRB ALP selection process consists of four stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT, and document verification. CBT 1 serves as a screening test to shortlist candidates for CBT 2. The marks obtained in CBT 2 will not be considered for the final merit list. For CBT 2, candidates are shortlisted at a ratio of 15 times the number of available vacancies.

The scores from CBT 2 are then used to select candidates for the CBAT stage. For document verification, candidates are shortlisted at a ratio of eight times the number of vacancies.
