RRB NTPC 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board is expected to release the RRB NTPC exam dates 2024 in due course. Candidates who have registered for undergraduate and graduate level posts can check the RRB NTPC 2024 exam dates, once released on the official website of the RRBs under which they have applied. Earlier, the RRB NTPC registration window closed for UG and graduate-level posts on Oct 13 and 20, 2024 respectively.

The selection process for RRB NTPC UG-level posts includes two stages of Computer-Based Tests, followed by a Computer-Based Typing Skill Test (TST), where applicable. For Graduate-level posts, the process consists of two stages of Computer-Based Tests (CBTs), followed by either a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) or a Typing Skill Test (TST), as applicable.

RRB NTPC 2024 CBT 1 Exam Pattern

The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam pattern consists of three sections: General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks for the test are 100.

RRB NTPC 2024 CBT 2 Exam Pattern

Graduate-Level Posts

Job Profiles

Traffic Assistant

Responsible for traffic and signal. Candidates need to work in different shifts.

Goods Guard

Monitor the functioning of the vehicle, check the loose ends in the train, identify and address minor issues while the train is moving, ensure brake continuity, coordinate with the Station Master in terms of communicating information regarding arrival and departure of trains.

Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

Work in ticket booking offices, commercial checking and issuing tickets, booking luggage and goods.

Senior Clerk cum Typist

Responsible for clerical works and supervising Junior Clerks.

Junior Account Assistant cum Typist

Maintaining accounting records, tracking transactions, expenditures, claim settlements,  making account-related reports,  compiling budgets as per rules checking financial irregularities and supporting the administrative related tasks in the accounts department.

Senior Time Keeper

Working in sync with the entire railway network and keeping records of time regarding movements of trains.

Commercial Apprentice

Supervise in various commercial branches.

Assist the Senior Time Keeper in maintaining the records for arrival and departure of trains.

Maintaining records related to the trains and their conditions and keeping track record of the number of coaches in trains.

Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

  • Issuing tickets through computer reservation system and unreserved ticketing system
  • Maintaining the records related to luggage.

A:

The first stage CBT of RRB NTPC comprises questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The test paper carries a total of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The first stage CBT is qualifying in nature. The test carries 100 marks.
