SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis 2022 (18 Dec) Live Updates: Questions, Expected Cut Off & More

SBI PO prelims exam concluded at 5.30 pm. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate to easy.

Shift 4 of SBI PO prelims exam has started at 4.30 pm. The exam will conclude at 5.30 pm.

Candidates who are appearing in the Shift 4 exam of SBI PO have arrived at the exam centre. The reporting time for Shift 4 is 4.15 pm to 4.20 pm. 

SBI PO prelims exam for Shift 3 concluded at 3 pm. According to the feedback provided by students, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

SBI PO prelims exam for Shift 3 has started at 2 pm. The exam will conclude at 3 pm.

The reporting for Shift 3 is underway at the exam centres of SBI PO. The reporting time for shift 3 is 01:45 to 01:50 PM.

The overall difficulty level of the exam held in Shuft 2 was moderate to difficult. The Quant and Reasoning sections were moderate whereas English was easy.

SBI PO Shift 2 exam concluded at 12.30 pm. The exam started at 11.30 am. The reporting time for this shift was 11:15 to 11:20 AM.

The level of the English paper was Easy to Moderate. The distribution of questions is given below.

In Shift 1 held on Dec 18, the questions from Arithematic problems were asked from SI-CI, Boat & Stream, Ratio, Time & Work, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Partnership, and Probability topics. The pattern of DIs was table-based, caselet-based and line graph-based.

The Shift 2 of SBI PO prelims exam started at 4.30 pm. The exam will get over at 5.30 pm.

The following type of questions was asked from the Seating Arrangement and Puzzles in SBI PO prelims exam:

• Parallel Row (Countries): 5 questions
• Year-Based puzzle (2022): 5 questions
• Linear Seating Arrangement (9 person, North facing): 5 questions
• Post-wise puzzle (with variable)- 5 questions

Questions in the Maths section of SBI PO were asked from Quadratic Equation, Approximation, Caselet, Arithmetic, Compound Interest, Percentage, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, etc.

The overall difficulty level of the English section was moderate. Reading Comprehension passage was based on the Food Crisis and Russia-Ukraine War.

SBI PO prelims paper held in Shift 1 was moderate to difficult in terms of difficulty level. Students found the Quant section to be tough.

Shift 1 of SBI PO prelims exam concluded at 3 pm. Candidates who have appeared in the exam can check the exam analysis to know the section-wise and overall difficulty levels.

SBI PO Shift 1 exam will get over at 3 pm. We will soon provide the exam analysis for Shift 1 of SBI PO exam.

SBI PO exam started at 2 pm. This is the first shift of the SBI PO prelims exam as the exam for the morning shifts was not held.

SBI PO qualifying marks are prescribed by the examination authority. Candidates need to secure the overall qualifying marks as per their categories in the exam. There are no sectional cut off marks in the exam.

The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The duration of test is one hour. To solve each section, candidates are given 20 minutes.

The reporting for SBI PO Shift 3 is underway. The documents of candidates who are appearing in shift 3 are being checked by the exam centre officials.

As per the previous years' trend, the difficulty level of the SBI PO prelims exam is expected to be of moderate level.

Candidates can check below the last minute SBI PO exam day preparation tips:

• On the night before or the day of the exam, avoid studying or practicing
• Candidates must keep their mind active and fresh 
• Avoid reading any new subject
• Candidates must sleep properly and wake up afresh 
• Candidates must bring the original photo ID proof, a pen, the exam admit card, and a copy of the ID proof
• Candidates must become familiar with SBI PO question format

The difficulty level of the English language is usually easy to moderate. The topics included in English Language are Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Fill in the blanks, Multiple Meaning /Error Spotting, etc.

This is for the first time that SBI PO prelims exam is being conducted over four days. Earlier, the exam used to be conducted over two days. 

SBI PO prelims result 2022 will be declared in December 2022/January 2023. The result PDF comprises the roll numbers of qualified candidates. To download the scorecard, candidates need to enter the registration number or roll number, date of birth, and verification code. 

Due to FCI exam, the shift timings of SBI PO exam have been changed. The exam will now be conducted in the afternoon shifts-2 pm-3 pm and 3:30 pm-4:30 pm. In case the shift 1 exam was held in the centre of any state, we will provide the exam analysis & student reaction.

The COVID-19 related guidelines published by the examination authority is given below:

• Mapping of candidate’s roll number and lab number will not be displayed outside the exam hall but the same will be intimated to the candidates individually at the time of the entry of the candidate to the exam venue
• In view of COVID-19 pandemic, it is mandatory to wear mask
• Candidates can wear gloves and carry personal hand sanitiser of 50 ml
• Candidates can also carry their personal transparent water bottle
• Rough sheets should be kept at the desk of each candidate
• Candidates must drop the rough sheets in the boxes provided at the exit of the lab/venue while leaving or at the designated place indicated by the exam officials
• Candidates must need to submit health declaration form

The Shift 1 of SBI PO prelims exam has started at 9 am. SBI PO prelims exam time is one hour and it will get over at 10 am.

SBI PO exam day guidelines related to the admit card, exam timings, reporting time, registration, etc are given below:

• Candidates must bring SBI PO admit card along with their photograph affixed on it and a photocopy of photo identity proof stapled with it. Candidates must also bring two additional photographs
• The accepted photo identity proofs are PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead /Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead /Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College / University / Aadhar / E-aadhar Card with a photograph / Employee ID in original
• Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof
• Latecomers will not be allowed to take the test
• Candidates must bring stationery such as pencils, glue, eraser, ink stamp pad and ballpoint pen with them to the examination hall
• Any stationery items such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed
• Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed
• Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, Any watch/wristwatch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, water bottle (only transparent water bottle is allowed), etc. are not allowed
• After displaying the health status through Aarogya Setu app, candidates are required to switch off their mobile phones and deposit them at the designated location
• Candidates are advised to avoid wearing ornaments such as rings, earrings, nose-pin, chains/necklaces, pendants, badges, brooch, etc.
• Candidates must wear light clothes which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices
• Candidates need to wear half sleeves but not have big buttons or any badge, brooches, etc.
• Candidates must wear slippers/sandals and not shoes
• Candidates wearing customary/religious dresses should report at the centre at least 20 minute prior to the reporting time for proper checking

The reporting time for SBI PO shift 1 is 8 am. The verification process of candidates whose exam is scheduled for Shift 1 is underway. Candidates will be given entry after verification of the documents.

In 2021, the overall difficulty level of the prelims exam was moderate. The Quant and Reasoning sections were moderate. The English section was moderate.

SBI PO notification was released on September 21, 2022 to fill up a total of 1673 vacancies. The notification was released to fill up various vacancies for the post of Probationary Officers (PO) in various branches of SBI.

The pre-exam training is a six-day programme conducted for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Community candidates. SBI PO pre-exam training is an orientation process that helps candidates with their preparation. SBI PO Pre-exam training is held online.

Category-wise merit list is drawn on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the prelims exam. There is no sectional cut-off in SBI PO exam. Candidates 10 times the
numbers of vacancies in each category are shortlisted for the mains exam.

The marks obtained by candidates in the prelims exam will not be counted for the final merit list. For the correct answers, candidates will score one mark while 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. On the basis of SBI PO result of the prelims exam, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the mains exam.

Reasoning Ability: Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Seating Arrangement, Puzzles, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Input-Output and many more.

English Language: Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Para Jumbles, Fill in the blanks, Multiple Meaning /Error Spotting, etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: Simplification, Simple Interest & Compound Interest & Surds & Indices, Time & Distance, Work & Time, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Data Interpretation, Number Systems, etc.

SBI PO prelims exam pattern comprises 100 objective questions for 100 marks. The duration of SBI PO exam is one hour. The test comprises three sections with separate timings. The structure of SBI PO prelims exam pattern is given below.

The shift-wise reporting timings of SBI PO are given below.

SBI PO admit card contains information such as the candidate's name, roll number, category, exam date, time, details of exam centre, scanned photograph and signature. The following details are mentioned on the admit card.

At the venue, candidate registration will be done through photo capture. The photo captured will be matched with the photo uploaded by the candidate in the application form.

The examination authority does not provide traveling costs to appear for the SBI PO exam. Candidates will have to appear for the examination at the exam centre at their own risks and expenses. 

If candidates are found copying or doing any other malpractices they will be disqualified from the selection process. They will also be debarred permanently/for specific period from any exam or selection by the bank. Candidates are warned against filling up/furnishing false, tampered/fabricated information or suppressing material information. The Bank will be analyzing the responses of a candidate with other appeared candidates to detect patterns of similarity. On the basis of such an analysis, if it is found that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/valid, the bank reserves the right to cancel his/her candidature. 

 No calculator separate or with watch, cell phones, books, slide rulers, note books or written notes will be allowed inside the examination hall.

SBI PO prelims admit card has been issued to all the registered candidates. To download the admit card, candidates are required to enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card has not been sent to candidates by post.

Candidates need to affix recent passport-size photographs in the space provided in the admit card and bring them with them along with two additional photographs, photo-identity proof in original as well as its photocopy. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam without the photo-identity proof in original and a photocopy and two additional photographs.
