SSC CGL Exam Analysis 2022: SSC CGL Tier 1 Shift 3 exam ended on 3.30 PM. The candidates who appeared in the exam found the paper moderate to difficult. Though Staff Selection Commission (SSC) tries to maintain the same standard of paper for every shift, it is the level of preparation of candidates through which they perceive the paper and hence share their personal opinion. SSC CGL 2022 exam will end on December 13.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Shift 2 Analysis
The candidates who appeared in shift 2 shared the information about the paper. The candidates shared that the General Intelligence and Reasoning section was moderate. The Quantitative Aptitude questions were conceptual in orientation. The General Awareness questions were moderate to difficult as always. The English section was easy in orientation.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Shift 1 Analysis
SSC CGL Tier 1 shift 1 paper was of easy to moderate difficulty level. Candidates were able to solve over 80 per cent of the paper easily. The English section was of easy to moderate difficulty level. The candidates find the General Awareness questions a little difficult. The General Intelligence and Reasoning section was of moderate difficulty level. Most of the questions were from regular topics such as seating arrangement, circular arrangement and the like. The Quant questions were lengthy and time-consuming.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern
The Commission notified the SSC CGL exam pattern 2022 in the official notification. There was no change in the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam pattern and the exam will be conducted on the same pattern as conducted earlier. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam pattern 2022 is summarised below:

Negative Marking in SSC CGL exam
The candidates should note that there is a negative marking in the SSC CGL exam. The Commission will deduct 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer marked by the candidate in the digital answer sheet. There will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. So the marking scheme can be summarised below:

It implies that four incorrect answers will nullify the marks secured by one correct answer. So resultant marks in such five questions will be zero marks. So the candidates should mark their answers carefully.
SSC CGL Expected Cutoff
Staff Selection Commission is conducting the exam for over 20,000 vacancies. The candidates should anticipate that the overall cutoff will remain low but in case of easy question paper, the SSC CGL cutoff will shoot up. The expected cutoff can be estimated only after the exam. It will be available here after the first shift.
SSC CGL Result
The Commission will release the SSC CGL result 2022 (Tier 1) in January 2023. The Commission will release the number of candidates available for each post group with the result in addition to the actual category-wise cutoff.

The candidates are required to carry the SSC CGL admit card to the exam centre because the admit card is the authority letter which is required to get entry into the exam centre. SSC Exam Centre
SSC CGL Tier 1 exam will be conducted at the designated exam centres only because the exam required cyber security, physical space, dedicated internet connectivity, and physical security. So there are limited exam centres and hence the exam period spans ten to fifteen days.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Day Instructions
The commission releases the exam day instructions to be followed by the candidate on the day of the examination. Some important among them are as follows:
- Carry two passport-sized photographs as pasted on the application form.
- Carry the dully filled and signed COVID-19 declaration to the exam centre
- Carry one photo identity card to the exam centre to establish their identity when asked for at the examination centre
- Carry one proof of date of birth in case it is not mentioned on the identity proof
- Carry water in a transparent bottle only
- Wear Face Mask
- The Candidates can carry transparent sanitiser bottle with them
SSC CGL Exam Tips
- The candidates require reading, understand, solve and mark the answers for 100 questions in sixty minutes only. So the time available for one question will be less than one minute. Candidates require a great amount of practice to do all these activities for each question in less than a minute. So the candidates should practice as much as they can.
- Read and analyse the previous year's question papers with the official answers. It can help in case the question is repeated from a topic.
- Carefully mark the answer on the digital answer sheet because it is the key point. Check the answer twice before submitting it to avoid human error.
- Avoid shortcuts if not confident fully. The candidates who did not practice with shortcuts in their preparation days should avoid using them in the paper.
- Avoid guesswork in the examination because there is a negative marking in the paper.
- Do not lose patience in the examination hall and remain calm even if you don't know the answer to initial questions. Otherwise, it will impact your performance in the whole exam.
