The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) postponed the SSC MTS 2021 exam. Along with the SSC MTS 2021, the Delhi Police Sub-Inspector exam was also postponed. The SSC released an official notice on June 25. The SSC will release a new exam calendar soon to notify the new SSC MTS exam dates.

The SSC MTS 2021 exam was scheduled to be conducted from July 1 to 20. The exam was postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19 infections. The SSC MTS exam 2021 was notified in February, and the last date to apply for the exam was March 23. Later, SSC again provided the opportunity for the candidates to submit the SSC MTS application fees on April 5 and 6.

The SSC MTS exam is conducted to recruit the candidates for the Multi-tasking Staff (Non-technical). The minimum eligibility for the SSC MTS exam is matriculation. These low eligibility criteria made this exam very popular in rural areas. The SSC MTS exam is conducted in the online mode at the designated exam centres across the nation.

In the SSC MTS 2021 exam, there will be four sections. The candidates need to attempt all four sections in the stipulated time of 90 minutes. The four sections are

• General English
• General Intelligence & Reasoning
• Numerical Aptitude
• General Awareness

The marks secured in tier-I are considered for the final merit. The SSC MTS Tier-II exam is a descriptive test and the candidates need to write an essay in the paper-II. There is no interview in the SSC MTS exam and hence after the paper-II, the final result and cut-off are released. The candidates are called for the document verification and the candidates who scored the highest marks are appointed to various Union government departments.
