SSC Stenographer 2024: The Staff Selection Commission has activated the application correction facility for SSC Stenographer grade C and D recruitment exam today: August 27, 2024. Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form can make changes by using the SSC Stenographer 2024 correction window available at the official website: ssc.gov.in. They can edit their online form through SSC Stenographer correction facility till August 28, 2024.
They must note that to use the SSC Stenographer correction facility, they need to pay INR 200 to make changes for the first time. For those editing second time in the SSC Stenographer online need to pay INR 500. In case the correction charges are not received by the SSC, the status of the form will be shown as ‘Incomplete’ and this modified application shall be rejected. However, the earlier submitted application will remain valid.
How to make changes in SSC Stenographer 2024 Form by Using Correction Facility?
To edit the SSC Stenographer application form 2024 candidates need to follow the steps provided below:
- Go to the official website: ssc.gov.in
- On the homepage, go to the candidate login tab at the top corner of the page
- Enter the login credentials
- The SSC Stenographer form will appear on the screen
- Make necessary changes and edit the SSC Stenographer by using the correction facility
- Pay the specified fee and submit the form
- Also, take a printout of it for future references
SSC Stenographer 2024
The SSC Stenographer recruitment exam will be held in computer-based (CBE), followed by a stenography competence test. The SSC Stenographer CBE will have three sections: general awareness, intelligence and reasoning and English language and comprehension. For every correct answer, 1 mark is given and 0.25 will be deducted for the incorrect responses. The SSC Stenographer questions will be in both Hindi and English. The commission plans to fill 2,006 grade C and D vacancies through this recruitment drive.

Q: When will SSC Stenographer application correction window open?
SSC Stenographer application correction window opened on August 27. The last date to make corrections in the application form was August 28, 2024. Candidates who wish to make corrections in the application form can do so by logging with the required credentials. Through the correction window, candidates can edit/modify the application parameters. Candidates will be allowed to re-submit applications after making requisite corrections/changes in the one-time registration/online application data as per their requirements. Candidates will be allowed to correct and re-submit their modified/corrected application two times. The Commission will levy uniform correction charges of INR 200 for making correction and re-submitting modified/corrected application for the first time and INR 500 for making correction and re-submitting modified/ corrected application for the second time. The correction charges will be applicable to all candidates irrespective of their gender/category.

The steps for SSC Stenographer one time registration are given below:
- For one-time registration, candidates need to click on ‘Register Now’ provided in the login section
- While registering, candidates need to enter basic details, additional details & contact details and upload scanned images of photograph and signature
- Candidates need to provide information regarding Aadhaar Number/Identity Card number
- Candidates have to enter the name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, details of Class 10 exam, level of the highest educational qualification
- Provide a valid mobile number, email ID, address
- When the basic details are saved, candidates are required to confirm their mobile number and email ID
- On confirmation, registration number and password will be generated. The same will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number and email ID
- Candidates need to login to fill other details like category, nationality, etc.
- Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature
- Upon clicking ‘Final Submit’ different OTPs are sent to candidates registered mobile number
- Candidates need to enter the OTPs in the required field to complete the registration process
- Read the declaration carefully and click the ‘I Agree’ button
