IAS 2022 prelims exam will be conducted tomorrow in 77 exam cities. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the IAS prelims 2022 exam in an offline mode in two sessions at the designated exam centres. The UPSC issued the IAS prelims admit cards on May 10 online for all the candidates who were eligible to appear in the exam. UPSC admit card is the essential document required to appear in the exam.   

Documents required to appear in the IAS 2022 exam

• IAS admit card 2022
• Government identity card whose number will be mentioned on the admit card
• 2 passport size photographs in case of any undertaking required at the exam centre
• Black ball-point pen to mark the answers on the OMR sheet

UPSC Instructions for the IAS 2022 Prelims Exam

The candidates must follow the instructions issued on the official website of UPSC-upsc.gov.in. They can be summarised as below:

• The examination venue will be closed ten minutes before the exam time, i.e. no candidates will be allowed entry after 09.20 AM (the closure of the exam centre).
• The candidates should preserve the copy of their IAS prelims admit card till the result of the Civil Service Main exam 2022.
• If the candidate’s admit card is misused by another candidate, the onus lies on the candidate whose admit card is being misused.
• The candidates should carefully mark their roll number, answer key code and question paper number in the OMR sheet and the UPSC attendance sheet. Any incongruence will lead to the rejection of the answer key.
• Smart Watches are prohibited at the examination hall
• Answer marked by any other pen except a Black Ball-point pen will not be evaluated
• Wearing a facemask is mandatory for the candidates
• Candidates may carry their own hand sanitiser in the transparent bottle

IAS prelims 2022 General Studies paper will be conducted from 09.30 AM to 11.30 AM. The IAS exam analysis will be available after the completion of the paper.
