The SSB Interview of NDA exam is conducted in two stages. Stage 1 of the SSB Interview comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Description Test (PP&DT). Stage 2 comprises Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. 

NDA 2 admit card 2024 is not released offline. Candidates need to download their admit cards online by logging with the required credentials.

Around two to three Lacs candidates apply for NDA exam. The written exam of NDA is cleared by around 8000 to 10,000 candidates

NDA syllabus for GAT comprises two parts-English and General Awareness. Questions in English part are asked from Grammar and Usage, Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Cohesion. Questions in General Knowledge are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Social Studies, General Science, Geography, and Current Events.

NDA syllabus for Maths comprises Algebra, Calculus, Matrices and Determinants, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Trigonometry, Vector Algebra, Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimension and Statistics and  Probability. 

The training period of Air Force cadets is given below:

• Air Force Cadets receive flying training for a period of 1½ years. However, at the end of one year of successful training, they are given provisional commission in the rank of Flying Officer. After the Air Force Cadets successfully complete further training of six months they are absorbed as permanent commissioned officers on probation for a period of one year

• Air Force Ground Duties Branch Cadets receive streamwise specialist training for one year. After the successful completion of training, they are given a provisional commission in the rank of Flying Officer. They are further absorbed as permanent commissioned officers on probation of one year

The training period of Naval cadet is given below.

• On passing out from the NDA, Naval cadets are selected for the Executive Branch of the Navy, and are also given further training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala for one year and, on successful completion of the training, they are promoted to the rank of Sub Lieutenants

• Candidates who are selected for the Naval Academy under (Class 12 Cadet Entry Scheme) are inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialization) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch) as per Naval requirements. After the candidates complete the course they are awarded B Tech Degree by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)

• After the Army Cadets pass out from NDA, they go to the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Cadets to Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and Air Force cadets and Ground Duty-Non Tech streams to Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, and Air Force cadets of Ground Duty–Tech stream to Air Force Technical College, Bengaluru

• At the IMA Army Cadets are known as Gentlemen Cadets and are given arduous military training which is for one year and it is aimed at turning them into officers capable of leading infantry Subunits. After the Cadets have successfully completed the training as Gentlemen Cadets they are granted Permanent Commission in the rank of Lt subject to being medically fit in "SHAPE" one

 The important Trigonometry topics in NDA Maths are Angles and their measures in degrees and in radians. Trigonometric ratios. Trigonometric identities Sum and difference formulae. The topics asked in Matrices and Determinants in NDA Maths are Types of matrices, operations on matrices. Determinant of a matrix, basic properties of determinants. Adjoint and inverse of a square matrix, Applications-Solution of a system of linear equations in two or three unknowns by Cramer’s rule and by Matrix Method.

In Calculus, questions are asked from Concept of a real valued function, domain, range and graph of a function. Composite functions, one to one, onto and inverse functions. Notion of limit, Standard limits, Continuity of functions, algebraic operations on continuous functions. Derivative of function at a point, geometrical and physical interpretation of a derivative-application. Derivatives of sum, product and quotient of functions, derivative of a function with respect to another function, derivative of a composite function. Second order derivatives. Increasing and decreasing functions. Application of derivatives in problems of maxima and minima

In  Algebra, candidates need to practice topics such as Sets, Venn diagrams, De Morgan laws, Cartesian product, relation, equivalence relation. Real numbers, Complex numbers, Modulus, Cube roots, Conversion of a number in Binary system to Decimals and vice-versa. Arithmetic, Geometric and Harmonic progressions. Quadratic equations, Linear inequations, Permutation and Combination, Binomial theorem and Logarithms.

In each section of NDA exam, candidates are required to secure 25 per cent. Besides, candidates are also required to secure the cut off marks.

The written exam of NDA 2 2024 will be conducted on September 1, 2024, across various cities spread throughout the country. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: forenoon and afternoon. 

The NDA selection process comprises written exam and SSB interview. The written exam of NDA comprises two subjects-Maths and GAT. The total marks allotted to the written exam are 900. 

After downloading the admit card, candidates are advised to check the details carefully. In case they find any discrepancies in the admit card, they should report it to the examination authority for correction.

NDA exam is conducted offline in two shifts. The exam is conducted in morning and forenoon shifts.

The items that are prohibited inside the exam centre are given below:

• Mobile phones, calculators, or any other electronic devices are banned inside the exam centre
• Use of normal or simple wrist watches is allowed inside the exam hall. Smartwatches are strictly prohibited

The entry gate closes 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam. For the morning session, the entry closes at 9.50 am while for the afternoon session, the entry closes at 1.50 pm.
