Various states such as Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, etc have now decided to reopen the schools. While the Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka governments have already allowed schools to reopen for Classes 9 to 12 from August 23. Schools in Delhi reopened from August 9 for Classes 10 to 12 for admission-related work. Meanwhile, the majority of states are all set to commence the classes from September 1 onwards. Students experienced a major shift from offline classes to virtual learning. While it was a challenge at first, many adapted well. However, students staying in areas with a lack of internet connectivity got adversely affected at the academic front.  Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in a recent issues circular said "Students of class 10 to 12 in the city are permitted to visit their schools from August 9 (Monday) for admission-related work including counselling, guidance and practical activities for the board exam. Health checkups and referral services situated in schools or conducted from there can resume. Children of all age may visit these centres accompanied by their parents or guardians.”
