All India Students' Federation alleged that the Central University of Karnataka VC allowed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) related activities in the campus in Kalaburagi. The student federation is demanding removal the VC.
As per reports, under the banner of Komuvadi Alisi Karnataka Kendriya Vishwavidyalaya Ulisi, over 10 associations held protest on Wednesday in from of Central University of Karnataka near Kadaganchi village 17 km away from the city.
They demanded the removal of the University's Vice Chancellor as he allowed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) related activities in the campus.
The participating organisations include Janavadi women's organisation, Jagatika Lingayat Mahasabha, Rajya Koli Kabbaliga ST Horata Samithi, Jamat Islam, Prabhudda Bharatha and other associations held a huge rally that began from Dr BR Ambedkar Circle in Kadaganchi village to Central University of Karnataka gate, as reported by TOI.
The All-India Students’ Federation (AISF) National Council will soon meet the President of India to discuss how the Central Universities are promoting a narrow Hindutva-based communal vision, as reported by The Hindu.
AISF national secretariat member and treasurer Viraaj Devang addressing presspersons in Kalaburagi city on Thursday alleged that the faculty members along with students attached to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) were conducting RSS shlokas on the campus and students who do not submit to the ideology of the RSS and are critical of it were being harassed.

The university will conducted training of trainers Stree Manoraksha Training funded by Ministry of Women and Child Development from October 17, 2023, to October 18, 2023. It will also conduct training of trainers on October 13, 14, and 16, 2023.
