No, the process to fill the CUET UG 2023 application form is completely online. In case candidates do not have internet connectivity at their homes, they can visit the Common Service Centres/Facilitation Centres to complete the process in a convenient and hassle-free manner. There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will
provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of Application Forms and payment of fees through e-wallet.

Candidates can select as many universities as they wish to while filling the CUET UG application form. However, they will have to choose up to three programmes of the universities they wish to take admission to.  

The subject-wise CUET UG syllabus 2023 has been released by NTA. Candidates can check and download the subject-wise syllabus from cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET UG syllabus is same as the Class 12 syllabus. There has been no change in the syllabus as compared to last year. 

While selecting the password, candidates should keep in mind the following factors:

• The minimum number of characters for CUET UG 2023 password is eight
• The maximum number of characters for CUET UG 2023 is 13
• There should be at least one special character (!@#$%^&*-.)
• There should be at least one uppercase letter
• There should be at least one lowercase letter
• There should be at least one numeric value.

CUET 2023 Application Form – Documents to Upload

The CUET UG 2023 application correction window will open on March 15 and the last date to make necessary corrections or changes in the application form is March 18, 11.50 PM. Only those candidates who would complete the application process by paying the application fee will be considered eligible to avail the application correction facility. 

While the CUET UG 2023 application process will end at 9 PM on March 12, the application fee can be paid till 11.50 PM. Unless candidates pay the application fee, their application process would not be considered complete.

CUET UG 2023 application form submission last date is March 12, at 9 PM. Candidates must ensure that they complete the process within the slated date.

There are a number of changes or alterations introduced in the CUET UG 2023. Some of the changes are as follows:

• Increase in application fee
• Increase in number of subject choice
• Increase in the number of exam cities in India and abroad
• Alteration in the section-wise number of questions
• Increase in the total duration
• Increase in the number of participating universities

NTA will release the slot/shift-wise duration later, in the CUET 2023 Admit Card. As per the information bulletin, the total duration of the exam will be three hours. It can be assumed that one hour would be allotted for each section. PwBD candidates, who would opt for scribes, will be given one hour extra to complete their exam.

Candidates must note that the NTA can reject the CUET application form 2023 for certain reasons. Hence, students are advised to avoid the following mistakes:

• Avoid uploading a blur image of your signature
• Use plain white paper as the background while scanning the images
• Make sure to upload the qualification certificates as demanded

There are as many as 95 participating institutes or universities for CUET UG 2023 exam. The category of universities can be divided into Central University, Sate University, Deemed University and Private University. The number of institutes for each of the university categories is given below:

Candidates should keep the following information or documents ready before starting the CUET UG 2023 application form:

CUET UG 2023 will be conducted in over 500 cities across India and 24 international cities. The total number of cities has increased exponentially as compared to last year. It is expected that the total number of exam centres will also increase. 

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by NTA in order to apply and appear for CUET 2023. The eligibility parameters are as follows:

• Students will need to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science or a relevant stream to be admitted to bachelor’s degree programmes in the Central Universities.

• Students in Class 12 who are yet to appear for the Board exam are also eligible to apply.

• There is no age limit for appearing in the CUET UG 2023 exam. 

Candidates will have to select two exam city choices in order of preference. Last year, candidates could select four cities.

Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians' only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.

Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. Under no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one CUET UG 2023 Application Form.

The exam pattern or structure of CUET UG 2023 has undergone changes in terms of the total number of questions. The detailed exam structure is given below:

NTA has released the CUET UG 2023 application form at cuet.samarth.ac.in. Not only has the Registration window opened, the notification and information bulletin have also been released. 

Given the delay in releasing the CUET UG 2023 application forms, students have started to react on the social media platform Twitter. Unlike the announcement made by the UGC Chairman, the CUET 2023 application process did not start on February 9. Now it is expected that NTA will release the CUET UG 2023 application form on February 10 early hours. 

NTA has not released the CUET UG 2023 application forms yet, nor has it made any announcement on the official website. It is expected to be announced anytime soon.

The total number of applications received for CUET UG last year, vis-a-vis the number of test-takers is given below:

CUET UG 2023 exam centres will be located in over 500 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. According to NTA, the exam conducting body, last year, approximately 490 exam centres were allotted to candidates per shift.

Candidates need not attempt all the questions in the CUET UG 2023 question paper. The ratio of the slot-wise total number of questions and number of questions to be attempted is given below:

• Slot I - 175 (140 to be attempted)
• Slot II - 100 (80 to be attempted)

The total marks for each of the slots vary. The marks for Slot 1 and Slot 2 are as follows:

• Slot I - 700
• Slot II - 400

The duration for CUET UG 2023 will vary for each of the slots. The total duration in minutes for each of the slots is given below:

• Slot I - 195 minutes

Candidates will have to keep the following instructions in mind while selecting subjects of papers for CUET UG:

• A Candidate can choose a maximum of any three languages from Section IA and Section IB together.
• The third language chosen needs to be in lieu of the sixth domain-specific Subject chosen by the candidate - as applicable (so the maximum number of tests to be taken remains nine only i.e. 2 Languages six Domain-Specific Subjects 1 General Test OR three Languages five Domain-Specific Subjects 1 General Test: flexibility being provided to help a candidate apply for many Universities depending on their eligibility conditions).

Candidates will have to opt for any of the languages in Section IB of the CUET UG 2023 exam. These languages include foreign languages as well as some Indian languages. The list of languages are given below:

The marking scheme of the CUET UG 2023 exam is given in the table below.

The table below brings the broad structure of CUET in terms of the number of questions in each section along with the duration.

CUET will have Section 1A, Section 1B, General Test and domain-specific subjects. Section 1A, which will be compulsory, will be conducted in 13 languages and candidates will be given the option to choose the language of their choice. Section 1B will be optional and for students who want to opt for another language apart from the ones that are a part of Section 1A. Some of the languages on offer are French, Arabic, German, etc.

CUET UG 2023 admit card or hall ticket will be released in the second week of May. This means the admit will be released approximately two to three days prior to the exam day. As per last year's trend, the admit card may be released in phases. NTA has not given any official update on this yet.

NTA will release the advance intimation slip of exam city on April 30, approximately a month before the exam commencement. This is a document which would inform candidates about the city where their CUET 2023 exam centre will be located. This will eventually help them plan for the commute on the exam day in advance.

According to UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar, the CUET 2023 exam will be conducted in three shifts depending on the number of candidates and subject choices. Last year, the exam was conducted on two shifts per day.

CUET UG 2023 will be conducted in as many as 13 languages. The list of languages or the medium of question papers are as follows:

The CUET UG 2023 exam will be conducted in an online mode, or a computer-based mode. Candidates will have to sit in front of the computer system assigned to them at the exam hall and view the displayed questions. They will have to answer the questions by selecting the correct option or answer choices with the help of a mouse.

Students planning to appear for CUET should note the below points:

• Candidates can apply to a maximum of three participating central universities only. To apply to more than three universities, candidates need to pay the application fee again.
• The application form of a candidate will not be accepted by exam authorities till the CUET test fee is paid successfully.
• An email and SMS will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID and phone number on successful CUET online application form submission and fee payment.

The CUET UG 2023 eligibility criteria are given below:

• Students should pass Class 12 from a recognised board in a relevant stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes offered by participating institutes.
• For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50 per cent in Class 12, for SC/ST, candidates need to have secured a minimum of 45 per cent in Class 12 in order to be eligible for the CUET 2023.
• For BTech programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45 per cent and that of the reserved category candidates is 40 per cent.
• There is no age limit for appearing in CUET UG

The CUET UG 2023 exam will be conducted over a window of 10 days, from May 21 to May 31. Some of the papers may be conducted in three slots, depending on the number of candidates and subjects opted for.

The CUET 2023 application fee is expected to remain the same as last year. The category-wise fee is given in the table below.

The CUET UG 2023 application process will be completely online. Candidates will have to visit the official website of the exam and register themselves, followed by logging in with the registration credentials, filling up the form with mandatory details, and uploading the requisite documents. The last and final step is to pay the application fee.

The CUET UG 2023 official website URL will be the same as that of last year, which is www.cuet.samarth.ac.in. The online application form will be available on this website.

As of now, NTA has not released the CUET UG 2023 notification or the information bulletin. It is expected that these documents would be released along with the application forms on February 9.

The last date to register for CUET UG 2023 is March 12. Tentatively, the application window will remain open till 11.55 PM of the said date.

The CUET UG 2023 application process will commence on February 9, evening hours. M Jagadesh Kumar, UGC Chairman has announced the same on Twitter. “Announcement on CUET-UG: Online Submission of Application Form for Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) - 2023] for Admission to Undergraduate Programmes will start tonight. Last date for submission of applications is 12 March 2023,” he stated.
