CUET UG 2023 application process has begun on February 10, early morning. The last date to submit the application form is March 12. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has announced the application dates and other information regarding the exam through a series of Tweets. Here we bring the live updates regarding CUET UG 2023 application process.

CUET UG 2023 application process has commenced on February 10. Although originally the date to release the CUET UG 2023 application form was February 9 night, it was postponed to February 10 early hours. The last date to submit the application form is March 12. The exam is scheduled to be conducted over a window of 10 days, from May 21 to May 31. Announcing the application dates, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has stated, Announcement on CUET-UG: Online Submission of Application Form for Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) - 2023] for Admission to Undergraduate Programmes will start tonight. The last date for submission of applications is 12 March 2023.”

NTA has released the official notification and information bulletin for CUET 2023 on the official CUET 2023 website, cuet.samarth.ac.in.

    Can CUET UG Application Form be Filled Offline?

    No, the process to fill the CUET UG 2023 application form is completely online. In case candidates do not have internet connectivity at their homes, they can visit the Common Service Centres/Facilitation Centres to complete the process in a convenient and hassle-free manner. There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will
    provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of Application Forms and payment of fees through e-wallet.

    Selecting Universities and Programmes for CUET UG 2023

    The subject-wise CUET UG syllabus 2023 has been released by NTA. Candidates can check and download the subject-wise syllabus from cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET UG syllabus is same as the Class 12 syllabus. There has been no change in the syllabus as compared to last year.

    Factors to Select CUET UG 2023 Password

    While selecting the password, candidates should keep in mind the following factors:

    • The minimum number of characters for CUET UG 2023 password is eight
    • The maximum number of characters for CUET UG 2023 is 13
    • There should be at least one special character (!@#$%^&*-.)
    • There should be at least one uppercase letter
    • There should be at least one lowercase letter
    • There should be at least one numeric value.

    CUET UG 2023 Application Correction Window

    The CUET UG 2023 application correction window will open on March 15 and the last date to make necessary corrections or changes in the application form is March 18, 11.50 PM. Only those candidates who would complete the application process by paying the application fee will be considered eligible to avail the application correction facility.

    CUET UG 2023 Application Fee Payment Deadline

    While the CUET UG 2023 application process will end at 9 PM on March 12, the application fee can be paid till 11.50 PM. Unless candidates pay the application fee, their application process would not be considered complete.

    What is New in CUET 2023?

    There are a number of changes or alterations introduced in the CUET UG 2023. Some of the changes are as follows:

    CUET UG 2023 Duration

    NTA will release the slot/shift-wise duration later, in the CUET 2023 Admit Card. As per the information bulletin, the total duration of the exam will be three hours. It can be assumed that one hour would be allotted for each section. PwBD candidates, who would opt for scribes, will be given one hour extra to complete their exam.

    Mistakes to Avoid While Filling the CUET UG 2023 Application Form

    Candidates must note that the NTA can reject the CUET application form 2023 for certain reasons. Hence, students are advised to avoid the following mistakes:

    • Avoid uploading a blur image of your signature
    • Use plain white paper as the background while scanning the images
    • Make sure to upload the qualification certificates as demanded

    CUET UG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

    Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by NTA in order to apply and appear for CUET 2023. The eligibility parameters are as follows:

    • Students will need to have passed Class 12 from a recognised board in Science or a relevant stream to be admitted to bachelor’s degree programmes in the Central Universities.

    • Students in Class 12 who are yet to appear for the Board exam are also eligible to apply.

    The exam pattern or structure of CUET UG 2023 has undergone changes in terms of the total number of questions. The detailed exam structure is given below:

    CUET 2023 Exam Pattern

    CUET will have Section 1A, Section 1B, General Test and domain-specific subjects. Section 1A, which will be compulsory, will be conducted in 13 languages and candidates will be given the option to choose the language of their choice. Section 1B will be optional and for students who want to opt for another language apart from the ones that are a part of Section 1A. Some of the languages on offer are French, Arabic, German, etc.

    CUET UG 2023 admit card or hall ticket will be released in the second week of May. This means the admit will be released approximately two to three days prior to the exam day. As per last year's trend, the admit card may be released in phases. NTA has not given any official update on this yet.

    NTA will release the advance intimation slip of exam city on April 30, approximately a month before the exam commencement.     CUET UG 2023 Application - Factors to Keep in Mind

    Students planning to appear for CUET should note the below points:

    • Candidates can apply to a maximum of three participating central universities only. To apply to more than three universities, candidates need to pay the application fee again.
    • The application form of a candidate will not be accepted by exam authorities till the CUET test fee is paid successfully.
    • An email and SMS will be sent to the candidate's registered email ID and phone number on successful CUET online application form submission and fee payment.

    CUET UG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

    The CUET UG 2023 eligibility criteria are given below:

    • Students should pass Class 12 from a recognised board in a relevant stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes offered by participating institutes.
    • For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50 per cent in Class 12, for SC/ST, candidates need to have secured a minimum of 45 per cent in Class 12 in order to be eligible for the CUET 2023.
    • For BTech programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45 per cent and that of the reserved category candidates is 40 per cent.
    • There is no age limit for appearing in CUET UG

    CUET UG 2023 Application Process

    The CUET UG 2023 application process will be completely online. Candidates will have to visit the official website of the exam and register themselves, followed by logging in with the registration credentials, filling up the form with mandatory details, and uploading the requisite documents. The last and final step is to pay the application fee.

    NTA to Release the Official Notification of CUET UG 2023 Soon

    As of now, NTA has not released the CUET UG 2023 notification or the information bulletin. It is expected that these documents would be released along with the application forms on February 9.

    CUET UG 2023 Application Process to Begin Tonight

    The CUET UG 2023 application process will commence on February 9, evening hours. M Jagadesh Kumar, UGC Chairman has announced the same on Twitter. “Announcement on CUET-UG: Online Submission of Application Form for Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) - 2023] for Admission to Undergraduate Programmes will start tonight. Last date for submission of applications is 12 March 2023,” he stated.
