The CUET-UG 2024 exam, scheduled to take place on from May 15 to May 31, 2024, will be conducted across a network of test centers nationwide.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the opening of the registration window for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2024. Alongside this announcement, Prof M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), has issued a statement urging universities to participate in this initiative.
CUET-UG, now entering its third year, has become an increasingly prominent examination for undergraduate admissions. Last year, 232 universities utilized CUET-UG scores as part of their undergraduate admissions process, signaling a growing acceptance and adoption of this standardized test.
In his statement, Prof M Jagadesh Kumar highlights the significance of CUET-UG in streamlining the undergraduate admissions process and ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation of students' abilities. He emphasizes that CUET-UG provides a standardized platform for assessing students' aptitude and knowledge, thereby reducing the reliance on disparate entrance exams conducted by individual universities.
Prof Kumar extends an invitation to all universities to join the CUET-UG initiative, emphasizing the benefits of adopting a common entrance test for undergraduate admissions. To facilitate this process, he encourages universities to reach out to the NTA for further details and information. Universities interested in participating can contact the NTA at cuetug@nta.ac.in.
The opening of the registration window for CUET-UG 2024 marks another milestone in the journey towards standardized undergraduate admissions in India. With the support of the UGC and increasing participation from universities across the country, CUET-UG is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of undergraduate education in India.
In addition to Prof M Jagadesh Kumar's statement, the announcement of the CUET-UG 2024 registration opening includes pertinent details about the examination itself. The CUET-UG exam, scheduled to take place on from May 15 to May 31, 2024, will be conducted across a network of test centers nationwide. With an extensive infrastructure in place, the NTA ensures accessibility and convenience for students appearing for the examination. This year, the number of test centers has been expanded, further enhancing accessibility for students from various regions. Additionally, the examination format, including the number of sections, duration, and syllabus coverage, remains consistent with previous years, providing students with a clear understanding of the assessment criteria and preparation requirements.
