DBT India invites applications for Research Associateship Programme 

Department of Biotechnology Ministry of Science and Technology Government of India invited applications for Research Associateship Program 2023-2024 (Call-II). 

A UNESCO Category II Institute of: Education I Training I Research in Biotechnology (RCB) tweet reads, "Call for applications under @DBTIndia Research Associateship Program (Call -II) are open for pursuing post-doctoral research in Biotechnology and Life Science at any university/ institutions across #India. For more information, please visit: https://rcb.res.in/DBTRA/"

Candidates pursuing postdoctoral research in frontier areas of Biotechnology and Life Sciences in Indian Universities/institutions can apply for the award by February 15, 2024. The application process started yesterday, January 16, 2024. 

Eligibility Criteria for Research Associateship Programme (Call -II)

The following are the eligibility criteria:

  • Qualification: Applicants should hold a Ph.D degree in Science, Engineering or MD/MS degree in any area of medicine with research interests in Biotechnology and Life Sciences and a good academic records. Applicants who have already submitted the Ph.D/M.D./M.S. thesis are also eligible to apply.
  • Age: Upper age limit is 40 years for male candidates and 45 years in the case of women candidates as on the last date of application.
  • Nationality: Applicants must be an Indian citizen.

DBT India also invited applications for Har Gobind Khorana-Innovative young Biotechnologist Fellowship (IYBF) by March 6, 2024.

This Research Fellowship is to identify and nurture outstanding young scientists up to 35 years of age with innovative ideas and desirous of pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology/Biotechnology-related fields. Scientists only with regular employment are eligible for this fellowship. 

The fellowship consists of Research grant for the proposed innovative project for 3 years. Selected fellow will receive a fellowship of Rs.1, 30,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Thirty Thousand Only) per year for a period of 3 years in addition to Research Grant. The application must be forwarded by the head of the institute or duly designated competent authority.
