Gurugram University was announced by the state government in the year 2014 and in 2018 a deadline was set to build its campus.

Gurugram University gets its first campus after 6-year delay

After a delay of nearly 6 years, Gurugram University inaugurated its campus in Kankrola village in Sector 87 on Monday and shifted its commerce and management faculties there.

The state government announced this new campus in the year 2014 and after four years, in 2018, a deadline was set to establish the campus. 

The university wrote on X, “Now Commerce and Management course will run in the new campus of Gurugram University, inaugurated with Havan Yagya. Classes of some more courses will start being held in the new building from the new session: Vice Chancellor.”

Till now the university was operating from the Rao Tula Ram College campus in Sector 51. The administration has claimed that 80% of the university will shift to the newly set up campus by 2024 end, as reported by TOI.

Gurugram University: Admissions open for Ph.D admissions

The last date to apply for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) January 2024 is tomorrow, January 17, 2024. Applications for admission to Ph.D. programme are invited in online mode only. Admissions is to be made through an Entrance Test conducted by the Controller of Examination of the University for each Discipline. The syllabus for the Entrance Test is as laid down by the concerned Teaching Departments.

Instructions to apply for Gurugram University Ph.D admissions are following:

  • The candidates are advised to read the Admission Guidelines for Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) carefully before filling the Application Form.
  • The Admission Guidelines can be downloaded from the University Website: https://gurugramuniversity.ac.in. 
  • The processing charges for the application form for admission are Rs. 1000/- for General Category and Rs. 250/- for Scheduled Caste, Backward Class of Haryana, differently abled persons and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of Haryana.
  • Change in programme or category, once opted for the purpose of admission, will not be allowed.
  • The candidates claiming the benefit of reservation shall submit a certificate to this effect from the competent authority.
