NTA successfully conducted ICAR - 2023 AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) Entrance Examination today, July 9, 2023. The ICAR examination for both the PG and PhD courses was held at 89 ICAR examination centres for a duration of two hours which was from 10 am to 12 pm and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm respectively. ICAR Entrance Examination - 2023 AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) were Conducted Successfully on July 9, 2023, by the examination conducting NTA. The exam was organized for those candidates who want to get admission in Agriculture programs/ courses of various Indian Council of Agricultural Research affiliated institutions. AIEEA 2023 exam pattern was similar to the paper pattern as in the year 2022. ICAR AIEEA Exam Pattern 2023 had 120 multiple-choice questions with a total of 480 marks. AICE JRF/SRF Examination had 120 MCQ questions of 120 marks.
According to the test takers and experts, it was found that both examinations was moderately easy. AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) examination was divided into three sections. In Section A, Questions were based on general knowledge on the domain of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Allied Science etc. Section B had Questions based on the core subjects of the course opted for. Section C had Questions that were asked from the specialized subject opted by the candidate.
Candidates can expect the release of the Provisional answer key in the third week of July. The NTA will display provisional Answer Keys of the questions along with the question papers
attempted by the respective Candidates on the NTA website www.nta.ac.in, https://icar.nta.nic.in/ to provide an opportunity for the interested candidates to challenge the Answer Key (if any). The Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.
Overall Merit/Rank List will be prepared by ICAR separately for every major Subject. In the event of candidates getting equal marks in the Entrance Examination, relative/inter se Merit
will be determined in the following order:
(i) the candidate scoring less negative marks will be rated higher in merit.
(ii) the candidate higher in age would be rated higher in merit.
The result of the entrance examination would be available in terms of overall merit-rank obtained by the candidate declared eligible for registration and choice filling for counseling in
his/her subject. No separate intimation about non-selection in AIEEA (PG)-2023 Examination, nor marks obtained there in, will be sent to the candidate and no correspondence (Letter/Fax/e-mail etc.) in this regard will be entertained.
