IGNOU has alerted students that it has come to the notice of Indira Gandhi Open University that some fake persons impersonating IGNOU officials are contacting learners to make payment for exam fees. Read here for more details.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued a public advisory that stated some unscrupulous persons impersonating themselves as officers/officials of IGNOU are contacting learners of IGNOU to make payment for examination fees, Issue of Duplicate grade card and Degree, Transcript, Verification of certificates, Project and Practical Fees, Revaluation, Photocopy of Answer Sheet etc, through personal emails or telephonic calls and other mode etc.
"It is informed that IGNOU never authorises any person to collect money towards Examination Fee, Issue of Duplicate Grade card and Degree, Transcript, Verification of certificates, Project and Practical fees Revaluation, Photocopy of Answer Sheet etc. The learners are advised to pay fee-related to above activities through official website of IGNOU 'http://ignou.ac.in' only," reads the public notification.
All the learners are further advised to remain alert and vigilant and prevent themselves from being cheated and share details with local police authorities for stringent action under the law. The University will not be responsible for any such fraudulent transactions and/or consequences arising out of it, added the university.
IGNOU January Admission 2024 registration closes today at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
Today is the last date to apply for IGNOU January Admission 2024. Students who are applying for the open and distance learning (ODL) and online learning (OL) programs can submit their applications by the end of the day today. While applying candidates need to provide a valid contact number and email ID. Documents required include a photograph, Signature, Educational Qualification, Experience Certificate, and Category Certificate.
