Refresher & Preparative Winter School 2023 of IISER Thiruvananthapuram is a great opportunity for the 2nd year M.Sc. students from Chemistry, Biology, and Physics background.
IISER Thiruvananthapuram announced the second edition of Refresher & Preparative Winter School 2023.
It has announced Winter School in Biology and Winter School in Physics.
Winter School in Biology: It is aimed at fostering active learning of fundamental concepts in modern biology with a research outlook. The training includes interactive lecture sessions, glimpse of biology labs, research seminars and soft skills for science. The program will focus on training highly talented and motivated students who are interested in pursuing a research career after masters.
A total of 50 students will be selected through nation wide selection. The eligibility requirement is final year of MSc and Integrated BS-MS in Biological Sciences and allied subjects.
Winter School in Physics: The refresher program is specially designed for highly motivated students at the Master's level, and aims to instill the fundamental concepts of Physics through problem solving exercises. Additionally, it offers insights into the state of the art research activities in the field and prospective avenues for future exploration.
The program will be held from December 3 to December 20, 2023. The target participants are PhD aspirants. The last date for online registration is August 20, 2023.
Recently, Students' Cooperative Mess (SCoM) at IISER Thiruvananthapuram celebrated their 10th Anniversary, and thanked to its wonderful staff, volunteers and faculties in the event. SCoM is a cooperative non-profit run by students to manage the mess at IISER TVM.
