IISER Thiruvananthapuram invites MSc, M. Tech., Ph.D. students to SERB-sponsored High-End Workshop

The last date to apply for the SERB-sponsored High-End Workshop - on "Real-life Data Modeling via Statistical and Machine Learning Tools” is December 19, 2023. 

IISER Thiruvananthapuram invited MSc, M. Tech. and PhD students to the SERB-sponsored High-End Workshop on "Real-life Data Modeling via Statistical and Machine Learning Tools” under the Karyashala scheme of Accelerate Vigyan. The last date to apply for the workshop is December 19, 2023.

The maximum number of participants is limited to 25. The eligibility requirement is BS-MS (4th and 5th year), PG and Ph.D. students. There is no registration fee to apply for the workshop. Students selected for the workshop will be offered travel support (AC 3-Tier) for their journey to and from IISER TVM, as per SERB and GoI norms. Free accommodation and food will be provided for all the selected students for the entire workshop duration. Selected students will be informed through email by December 20, 2023. The candidates must upload an NOC letter duly signed by the competent authority while doing the registration.

The workshop is specifically tailored for PG and PhD students from universities and colleges seeking a comprehensive understanding of statistical and machine learning tools for data modelling.

The workshop aims to give an overview of various statistical and machine-learning modelling tools developed in recent times. It will help to develop a clear, in-depth understanding of adapting appropriate tools for modelling real-life data. Also, it will enhance overall statistical analytical ability for extracting actionable information from data.
