All India Student University (AISU) UP has formally submitted a representation to the District Magistrate, Higher Education Department, and Governor of UP, addressing crucial issues faced by students in colleges affiliated with Maa Shakumbhari University.

As per the letter, the universities examination fees have been fixed by the Government Order of UP. However, currently while collecting the examination forms, the university's colleges are asking for high fees in the name of undeclared development/project/processing fees which is clear violation of the Government Order, as per AISU.

Ignoring the government order, the university is charging an extra of INR 2010 in the name of project development which is not justified, added the letter.

The students have alleged that additional fees is being charged and it is a clear violation of government's order. The order was issued to tackle the disparity in the examination fees of universities. They said that the examination fees should be uniformed and the university should not charge four times of the examination fees from student in the name of development charge.

The students demanded to defer the filling of application forms till the fees are not uniformed. Also, they demanded that the fees of the students who already submitted the increased fees should be refunded to them. The student also demanded the university to release the results which are pending from 11 months.
