Madras University Postpones Exams Amidst Heavy Rain Forecast, Revised Date Soon

Due to rainfall, Madras University has postpone semester exams for the MCA programme. The university will announce the revised dates soon. Additionally, the practical examination for MCA has also been postponed until further notice.

Madras University has decided to postpone the second-year and third-semester exams for the MCA programme that were scheduled to be conducted this week due to heavy rainfall in Chennai. The university will announce the new dates soon. Apart from this, the practical examination for MCA has also been postponed until further notice. 

The official website states, “The MCA practical Examination [30.11.2023] has been postponed. The rescheduled Examination date will be intimated in due course.” 

As per the Chennai Meteorological Centre, there is a possibility of rain in nine districts including Chennai and Tiruvallur in Tamil Nadu within the next three hours. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued an orange alert for Chennai and several other districts in Tamil Nadu for December 2 and 3, 2023. 

Madras University Practical Exams 2023 

The Madras University has scheduled to conduct the practical exams from December 23, 2023 to January 11, 2024. The exam guidelines states, “Attendance is compulsory for practical classes and practical examinations. At the end of this programme practical examination will be conducted. Students are requested to bring their practical books, pens, pencils, A4 for practical classes."
