NEST 2021 Conducted on August 14

NEST or the National Entrance Screening Test 2021 has been conducted on August 14 in two slots. The entrance test for admission to the Five-year Integrated MSc programme is jointly conducted by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS). NEST 2021 was conducted across two slots. The first slot was scheduled from 9 am to 12.30 pm and the second slot was held from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.

NEST 2021 Exam Pattern

The NEST 2021 exam pattern is given in the below table:

The exam was conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode for a duration of 3.5 hours. As far as the marking scheme is concerned, the first section carries 30 marks and there is no negative marking scheme. The other sections carry 50 marks and there is a negative marking scheme for some questions.

The NEST 2021 result will be declared on September 1 on the official website. The counselling process will be announced thereafter.
