Tezpur University to conduct Faculty Induction Program on August 2

Following the directives of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, the Teaching Learning Centre, Tezpur University (TLC, TU) has been conducting a series of Faculty Induction Programs since 2017 under Malaviya Mission (PMMMNMTT).

The next one-month-long Online Faculty Induction Program (FIP) will be held between August 2 to August 31, 2023.

The Induction programme for teachers shall prepare and skill the new recruits in inculcating the highest standards of teaching and learning including the latest developments. The uniform structure of the programme will also ensure similar preparedness for teachers across the country. 

The Faculty Induction program is recognized by UGC vide UGC Regulation 2018. As per UGC Regulations 2018, all newly recruited assistant professors must undergo Induction Training within the probation period. However, other interested faculty members can also apply. 

As per the latest UGC Guideline on Training/Orientation of Faculty on Indian Knowledge Systems, the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) components will be an important part of Faculty Induction Programs and Refresher Courses. IKS will be implemented under Malaviya Mission through UGC HRDCs and PMMMNMTT Centers. The TLC, TU FIP will focus on IKS as per UGC guidelines besides the already existing themes. 

All those who meet the eligibility criterion are required to pay an enrollment fee of INR 3,500/- (Non-Refundable).

The eligible participants who have made the payment are required to register online on or before July 31, 2023. The Faculty Induction Program will include both live sessions and pre-recorded video sessions disseminated in online mode.
