TIFR GS Results 2021: Tata Institute of Fundamental Research has announced the results of TIFR GS or JGEEBILS 2021 on March 18, 2021. Candidates who appeared for the exam can visit the official website to know their qualifying status. The exam was conducted on March 7, 2021, in offline mode.

The results are released in the form of merit, in which application sequence no. and names of qualifiers are mentioned. After checking the results, qualifying candidates have to apply for the participating institutes and appear for the interview round. The dates for the final round is yet to be notified.

How to check TIFR GS 2021 Results

Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam follow the steps given below to check their TIFR results:

Step 1: Visit the official website - univ.tifr.res.in

Step 2: Click on the results link for the course

Step 3: Using Ctrl+F command, enter your Name or application sequence number

Note: If you can locate your name and number on the list, it signifies that you have qualified for the next round.  

TIFR GS 2021 Results: What Next!

The qualifiers have to apply for the on-campus interview. Make note that an official interview call/ email from the Graduate Studies Office will be made/ sent to the shortlisted candidates. The names of participating campuses are:

  • DBS TIFR (Mumbai)
  • TCIS TIFR (Hyderabad)
  • NCBS TIFR/inStem (Bangalore)

Each centre/institution shortlist candidates based on material/data submitted in the full application. Candidates can download the application form by using the reference code. The password has been sent to the candidates at their registered e-mail id. Along with the application form, referee reports are also to be submitted.

There are certain pointers in the applications submitted by the candidates that are considered to qualify for the interview round. They are as follows:

  • Statement of interest
  • Scientific and extra-curricular efforts

  • Academic performance

  • Referee Reports

  • Scores/ranks in written tests
