During the G20 University Connect Event on September 26, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Vice Chancellors, Principals, and Faculty Members of the universities.

UGC: G20 University Connect Event on September 26

University Grants Commission has written to HEIs about the G20 University Connect Event, which is set to be held on September 26, 2023. 

“India has achieved great success in the G20 University Connect Programme. The University Connect Programme was led by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), New Delhi and was supported by the G20 Secretariat. Hon'ble Prime Minister would like to interact with Vice Chancellors, Principals, Faculty Members and students of the Universities/Colleges on 26th September,2023 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The programme will start at 1500 hrs. At the event, key members of the G20 Team of India would brief on the C20 outcomes,” reads the UGC letter.

The Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) of the National Capital Region (NCR) are requested to participate in the event by nominating 30-40 students and two faculty members to attend the program. The Head of the Institution is also invited to join the event, added UGC.

A Faculty Coordinator may also be nominated for smooth coordination and their details along with e-mail and mobile number may be shared at dgoffice@ris.org.in. Faculty Coordinators and students should register at the following link live at RIS Website: https://www.viablesoft .ors.in/risinvitationex o23VDionlineree lstratron.asDx.

UGC requests institutions to register on ABC portal for seamless credit transfer

UGC requested all institutions to register on the ABC portal and ensure seamless credit transfer to all its students across all institutions. The candidates need to register for the academic bank of Credits via DigiLocker.

Steps to fetch ABC ID:

  • Download DigiLocker App on your phone
  • Type “ABC ID Card” in the search bar
  • Fill in the mandatory fields
  • Tap on the “Get Document” button
  • Verified ABC ID Card will reflect in Issued Documents
