University of Jabalpur forgets to conduct exam after releasing date sheet, admit cards

Rani Durgavati University allegedly forgot to conduct the MSc Computer Science exam after releasing the date sheet and admit cards. 

Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur released the exam timetable and issued admit cards but the administration forgot to conduct the exam for MSc computer science. The exam was scheduled for March 5, 2024.

The timetable was released 20 days ago. "The admit cards were issued to students for the exam that was scheduled to be held on Tuesday (March 5). When the students reached the university on Tuesday morning, they were informed that there is no examination and even the university didn't prepare the question papers," said the students, as reported by Hindustan Times.

We studied the whole night to appear in the exam but when we reached the university, we were informed that the administration had forgotten it, said another student.

NSUI President Jabalpur Sachin Rajak says that the students who came to appear for the examination from Jabalpur district and outside returned to their homes in disappointment without appearing for the examination, as reported by Aaj Tak.

Seeing the uproar, Vice Chancellor Dr Rajesh Verma and Registrar Deepesh Mishra immediately released a new schedule of this examination.

University vice chancellor RK Verma held a meeting with head of the department and met the students.

"An inquiry has been initiated in the matter as the exam controller said the exam has been postponed but how did they forget to inform college and students about it? The action will be taken against the responsible officers after the probe report," he added.
