SSC MTS 2022 Exam Pattern Changed

SSC changed the MTS 2022 exam pattern for paper 2 and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) through a corrigendum released online on October 21.

SSC MTS 2022 New Exam Pattern

SSC MTS paper 2 is a descriptive type paper where the candidates are required to write a short essay or letter in any of the language included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India. The time allotted for such paper was 45 minutes in the original notification. However, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has reduced the time for this essay. New time limit for writing the SSC MTS paper 2 is 30 minutes (40 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribes).

Commission changed the SSC MTS paper 2 pattern and amended the original notification through a corrigendum released online on October 21. Now the candidates will be required to write either a short essay or a letter in the stipulated time of 30 minutes. In the original SSC MTS 2020 notification, the candidates were required to write a short essay and a letter in a time limit of 45 minutes. SSC MTS 2022 Paper 1 result was released online on October 7.

SSC MTS 2022 PET New Exam Pattern

SSC changed the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) conditions. SSC removed the requirement of Cycling from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). It made the PET easy. Now the candidates will be required to do walking of 1,600 metres in 15 minutes. The details for males and females are given below:

Earlier the candidates were required to do cycling for 8 km in 8 minutes.

The Corrigendum also omitted point 14.5.8 which mentioned that “Cycling is not applicable for the post of Havaldar in DGPM,CBIC”.

SSC MTS 2022 notification was released online on March 22 and the last date to apply for the exam was April 30.
