Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao has once again directed the officials to speed up work on setting up eight new colleges.

Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao has directed the concerned officials to expedite the process of establishing new medical colleges so that these colleges can be started from this academic year.

He also asked the officials to ensure daily review of the works and assured them of all types of support. After the completion of construction work, the officials should gather all medical equipment, he added, as reported by The Hans India.

He said all this while reviewing the health and R&B departments at MCRHRD institute. The minister said that the aim was to ensure super speciality hospital services at the rural areas and hence the government decided to set up medical colleges in every district.

He directed the officials to take up admissions in these new hospitals from this year and ensure that the rules and guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC) are strictly followed.

Telangana govt inks MoU with King's College London

The state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with King's College London in connection to the Pharma University at Hyderabad Pharma City. The MoU intends to joint efforts to explore the development of higher education provisions within the Telangana Pharma City. This will involve collaborative research projects, curriculum development, upskilling, and staff and student exchanges.

The alliance is expected to support the vision for Pharma City which involves creation of a life sciences higher education provision.
