The background
On November 18th 2021, the National Medical Commission (NMC) released the Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations 2021 or Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship Regulations 2021 consisting of new guidelines for medical graduates including FMGs.
As per the new guidelines, the intake of FMGs for internships was reduced to 7.5% from 10%.
