KSET 2017: Important Dates & Application Process
KSET is a State Eligibility Test Conducted by Karnataka State Eligibility Test Center, University of Mysore. Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) comprises of three papers containing multiple choice questions (MCQs). KSET exam is conduct to shortlist aspirants for the post of lectureship/Assistant Professor in Karnataka.
Exam notification for K-SET 2017 is expected to be declared in the month of September 2017 and the application process is expected to commence in last week of September.

How to fill KSET 2017 Application Form
KSET application form needs to be filled online on the official website of Karnataka State eligibility Test Centre. Before filling the application form for KSET exam candidates need to ensure that they possess their scanned photograph. Candidates need to fill their KSET application form as per the schedule mentioned by Karnataka State Eligibility Test Center, University of Mysore. If candidates fail to meet the last date to fill and submit their registration form for the state eligibility test then they need to pay an extra amount of Rs 150 to successfully register for the exam.
Candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps to successfully fill and submit KSET application form
Step 1: Aspirants need to visit the official website of Karnataka State Eligibility Test and click on the application form link/tab.
Step 2: Aspirants should register for KSET exam on the official website by providing their email ID and password. Then, aspirants should provide their personal details, educational details, contact details and KSET exam details. “While mentioning their educational qualification they should mention their PG course as Passed or appearing as the case may be”, informs the official website. Aspirants need to upload their scanned photograph as per the below mentioned dimensions:

Step 3: Next, candidates need to pay the KSET application fee. Aspirants can pay the application fee either by cash or even through the online mode. Candidates are informed that KSET application fee can be paid offline only at Canara Bank cash counters. Application fee for KSET 2017 can be paid online by means of Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or NEFT. The official website informs, “Fee submitted by any other mode like Money Order/Demand draft /IPO etc., will not be accepted”.
Once the fee has been successfully paid, candidates need to take the hardcopy of the e-challan given by the Canara Bank or the online payment receipt.

Step 4: Aspirants need to login to the official KSET website with their registered email ID and password. Thereafter, candidates need to download their duly filled KSET 2017 application form and take clear prints of the below mentioned documents on an A4 size paper:
- Application form: which the candidate needs to submit to the Nodal center
- Attendance slip: which the candidate needs to submit to the Nodal center
- Admission card: which the candidate needs to retain
Step 5: Aspirants need to submit the hard copy of their application form to the respective Nodal center with the online payment receipt or e-Challan (for Cash Payment). Along with the same aspirants need to submit attested copies of the below mentioned documents:
- SSLC Marks Card
- SC, ST, PWD (VH/PH), Cat-I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB category certificates
- Proof of qualifying examination certificate and final PG Degree Marks Card. (For those who apply under appearing may submit the same after passing the qualifying examination).
The official website informs that a candidate should “Affix his/her pass port size photo at the place indicated on the hard copy of application form and Attendance slip must sign across the photograph. It should also duly be attested by the gazetted officer with seal”. Candidates are informed that the print out of the application form sent directly to KSET center in Mysore will not be accepted.
Documents to be sent with KSET Application Form
- Application Form (one copy on A4 size paper)
- Attendance Slip (one copy on A4 size paper)
- Copy of CANARA Bank e-Challan (K-SET copy) or online payment receipt.
- Copies of SC, ST, PWD (VH/PH), Cat-1, IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB certificates duly attested by the Gazetted Officer.
- Attested copy of SSLC Marks card is a must for verification of candidate name and parent’s name. In case there is a change of name at the later stage, enclose an attested copy of the authenticated document.
- Attested copy of Final year PG Degree marks card and PG degree certificate.
Candidates need to ensure that they follow all the above mentioned steps within the duration as specified by KSET authorities.
