The State Common Entrance Test Cell issued a notification stating the MAH BEd & BEd-ELCT CET 2024 normalisation process at the official website. Since the CET CELL conducted the MAH BEd & BEd-ELCT CET exams in numerous shifts, the chances of inconsistent difficulty levels may arise in question papers. To make the MAH BEd & BEd-ELCT CET result fair for every student, the authorities are going to follow the normalisation method to calculate the percentile scores mentioned below. 

"The process of Normalization is an established practice for comparing candidate scores across multi-shift papers and is similar to those being adopted in other large educational selection tests conducted in India." States the official notification. 

What is Percentile Score for MAH BEd & BEd-ELCT CET Exam?

Percentile scores are created based on the performance of aggregate students in the exam. The marks scored are recast in a range between 0 to 100 for each shift. Further, it indicates the percentage of students who have equal to or below that particular percentile.

Students can check the below steps to know how normalisation is implemented and percentile scores are calculated:  

Step 1: Distribution of examinees in two days and two shifts per day equally. 

Step 2: Preparation of MAH BEd & BEd-ELCT CET results for each session using the percentile formula 

Step 3: Next, the percentile of all sessions will be calculated separately for the total raw score merge the Percentile Scores calculated above of all four sessions for the Total Percentile for preparation of CET scores.
