MP govt allows students to pursue BEd from Teacher Training Institutes
The School Education Department has now allowed students to enrol for Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed) courses in Teachers Training Institutes.
The Madhya Pradesh government has now allowed students to study Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed) courses from Teachers Training Institutes. Applications form for admission to all courses will be submitted through the online portal soon.
Until last year, only teachers were being trained in these institutes. Since 2008, all the seats in these institutions were reserved for teachers of various cadres of govt schools in the state. Now, this rule has been scrapped to allow students to take admissions in all the courses conducted in the teacher training institutes. In an order by Dhanraju S, Director of State Education Center, it has been stated that a total of 180 seats have been allotted for departmental candidates while as many as 3,420 for non-departmental candidates for Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.) course in district-level government education and training institutes.
