NCTE invites online applications for B.A. B.Ed/B.Sc. B.Ed

National Council for Teacher Education has invited online applications for 4-year Integrated Programme (B.A. B.Ed/B.Sc. B.Ed) for TRANSITION to Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). The application process started on February 5, 2024. The last date to apply for the programme is March 5, 2024.

"NCTE invited applications for the transition from the institutions which have been granted recognition by NCTE to run the 4-year Integrated Programme (B.A.B.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed.), under omitted Appendix-13 of NCTE Regulations 2014. The institution desirous of transition to ITEP may apply on the online transition module (URL:http://www.ncte.gov.in/TRS) in the NCTE website within the stipulated time as given below," reads the official notification.

The last academic session for admission of students to 4-year Integrated Programe (B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed.) shall be 2024-25. No fresh admissions shall be made in this course thereafter. However, those students who have enrolled upto the academic session 2024-25 shall be allowed to complete their program as per norms. The 4-year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed/B.A.B.Ed. programme under the omitted Appendix-13 shall be discontinued from the academic session 2025-26, added the official statement.

The recognized unit(S) and stream(S) of the four year program shall remain the same. The institutions desirous of transition may opt for Middle and/or Secondary stage of ITEP. For other stages of ITEP i.e. Foundational and Preparatory, the institutions under this transition, may apply for the same as and when the NCTE invites fresh applications.

To apply for the program, the institutes need to visit the official website - ncte.gov.in/TRS/. After visiting the site, they need to enter a username and password, to Sign in.
