OTET 2017 Important Dates & Application Process
Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has invited applications from eligible candidates to appear for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2017 (OTET 2017). All interested candidates can fill OTET 2017 application form latest by September 6.
OTET 2017 exam pattern is such that there are a total of 150 multiple choice questions that candidates need to complete in a duration of two and a half hours. Candidates clearing the TET exam will be eligible for appointment of teacher for Classes I to VIII. However, it may be noted that clearing OTET does not guarantee employment of a candidate in a school. But their TET scores are given weightage in the recruitment process, informs the official website.

OTET 2017 Application Process
All candidates willing to apply for OTET 2017 can fill the application form in online mode as per the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Register on OTET exam portal
To start with, candidates need to visit the official website of BSE Odisha and click on the “Online Application for OTET 2017” link. On clicking the link, a new page will open on which candidates need to click on the “Click Here for New Registration” link. Thereafter, candidates need to enter details such as name, password, mobile number, and email ID and click on the “Submit” button. Thereafter, candidates will be successfully registered on the exam portal.
Step 2: Pay OTET application fee
After successful registration, candidates need to log in to their accounts using their registered email ID and password. After successful account login, candidates need to enter a verification code that they will receive on their registered email ID and click on the “Verify” button. If the verification code is correct, candidates will be redirected to application payment page.
Candidates can pay OTET 2017 application fee in online (SBI debit card/ SBI net banking) or offline (SBI challan) mode.

Note: On the application payment page a registration number will be displayed that candidates need to note for future reference.
Step 3: Fill OTET application form
Once application fee is successfully paid candidates need to wait for about 12 hours before they can start filling the form. Details to be filled in OTET 2017 application form include:
• Personal information: This section includes filling details such as name, date of birth, caste, parents’ names, etc. This section also requires candidates to upload their photograph (file size should be upto 50 kb) and signature (file size should be upto 20 kb). Also, it is must for candidates to enter their DU reference number that they will get from SBI at the time of application fee payment.
• Eligibility criteria: Next, candidates need to select their training status, paper opted for exam, and language offered for MIL (Modern Indian Language) subject.
• Educational qualification: Here, candidates need to fill their school and graduation education details such as name of board/ university, marks scored, division/ grade, etc.
• Address: This section requires candidates to enter their complete permanent and correspondence address.
• Declaration: On the declaration page, entire data entered by the candidate will be displayed. Candidates need to check the information thoroughly and click on the “Yes Final Submit” button if the data is correct. In case any entered information is incorrect, candidates can go back to previous sections and edit. However, after the final submission of the form, no information can be edited.
After the final submission of the form, candidates’ OTET 2017 application process will be complete.
