The government wants to make the youth of the state self-dependent. In order to increase the employment rate of the state, the government is introducing two new schemes.

The Uttar Pradesh government is taking initiatives to help the youth of the state get better employment status. The Government has recently announced two new schemes to help and promote the youth and direct them to the path of success.

While giving his budget speech, Suresh Kumar Khanna, the Finance Minister of the state expressed that the government wants to make the youth of the state self-dependent. In order to increase the employment rate of the state, the government is introducing two new schemes. He further added that the Chief Minister Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (CMAPS) and the Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan (YUVA) will help in making the youth independent.

Under CMAPS, the government has made a provision of Rs 100 crore. The amount will be used to impart job training to the youth of UP in MSME units. The scheme will also link the youth with the employment of a definite period.

The scheme will not only train the youth for jobs but will also give them sufficient stipend. Out of the total amount of the stipend, the Central Government will bear Rs 1,500, State will bear Rs 1,000, and the remaining amount will be concerned with the industry.

The minister further added that with Yuva Udyamita Vikas Abhiyan, a noble initiative is being taken to provide employment to lakhs of trained youth in the state. The Government will set up a 'YUVA Hub' in every district of the state.

To set up 'YUVA Hub' in every district, an amount of Rs 50 crore is proposed. According to the Finance Minister, the government has kept a target of training two lakh youths under various training programmes of the UP Skill Development Mission.
