UP Scholarship: Under the Purv Dasham Dashamottar Chhatravriti Yojana Scholarship Scheme 2021-22, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has done an online transfer of scholarship worth 458.66 crore INR to 12.17 lakh INR. The transfer has been for the meritorious students. A tweet on the official Twitter handle of Yogi Adityanath reads, “Online transfer of scholarship of Rs 458.66 crores to 12, 17,631 meritorious students under Purv Dasham Dashamottar Chhatravriti Yojana Scholarship Scheme 2021-22.”
Previously, In Uttar Pradesh, more than 20 lakh students belonging to minority communities received scholarships under various scholarships schemes by the Yogi government. According to the India Today report, the government claims to have rolled out scholarships to around 20.16 lakh students in the last four-and-a-half years.
The Minority Welfare Department in Uttar Pradesh distributes 3,000 INR per year per student under the state-funded pre-matric scholarship scheme. The amount for the post-matric scholarship is decided class-wise and course-wise for minority students.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government is also planning to commence the distribution of smartphones and tablets among the state’s youth from the second week of December. The official information released by the government states that it is mulling to distribute around 2.5 lakh tablets and 5 lakh smartphones in the first lot. UP CM Yogi Adityanath will be launching a dedicated portal DG Shakti. Smartphones, tablets as well as content will be given to the students will be done via the DG Shakti portal itself. Similarly, information about smartphones and tablets will be given to the students from time to time on their mobile numbers and email IDs.
