UPSC released the Engineering Service Exam (ESE) 2022 prelims timetable on January 25.Read here for details.

UPSC ESE 2022 Prelims timetable was released on January 24. ESE 2022 prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 20 in two shifts. Union Public Service Commission released the timetable pdf online only. The prelims exam is conducted in offline mode across the designated exam centres across the nation simultaneously.

UPSC ESE 2022 prelims exam will have two papers and the candidates need to qualify in both the papers to become eligible for selection. Besides this, the candidates need to score more than or equal to the cut-off for the exam. UPSC ESE 2022 prelims exam will be conducted as per the pattern given below:

General Studies paper will have the questions of the Current Issues of national and international importance and Engineering aptitude. There will be 100 objective type questions in Paper I. The second paper has more weightage in the ESE Prelims exam because it is a subject-specific paper and the maximum marks of this paper will be 300 marks.

UPSC releases the exam question paper on the next day of the exam. UPSC ESE 2022 exam was notified on September 22, 2021, for 247 vacancies.
