Urgent advisory issued for Indians in Ukraine desiring evacuation via Poland

An urgent advisory issued by the Embassy of India has said that Indian nationals arriving at the Poland-Ukraine border by public conveyance are advised to make for the Shehyni-Medyka border crossing, not the Krakowiec crossing.

The Embassy of India is trying to evacuate the Indians in Ukraine at the earliest and timely sharing all the latest information. Now, it has issued an urgent advisory for Indians in Ukraine stating that the government of Polland is allowing people to cross the border on foot only via the Shehyni-Medyka border. 

The Embassy has advised the Indians arriving for evacuation at the Poland-Ukraine border by public conveyance are advised to make for the Shehyni-Medyka border crossing, not the Krakowiec crossing. 

As per the advisory, the Krakowiec crossing is only for persons travelling in their own vehicles.

The advisory stated that the Embassy official Pankaj Garg (+48660460815) is stationed at the Shehyni-Medyka border.

The Embassy Office at the Krakowiec crossing will be operational later today, headed by Shubham Kumar (+48881551271).

The Liaison Office in Lviv, Ukraine is operational and the contact details are - Mira Berezovska (+380679335064), Shri Vivek Kumar (+48881551273).

Indians crossing into Poland are advised to register their details by filling the Google form (https://forms.gle/TPmtUeMh98Q4XgvP9) for processing their requests for seats in the repatriation flights which will be arranged shortly.

40 Indian medical students walk towards Ukraine-Poland border: Report

Reportedly, 40 Indian medical students of Daynlo Halytsky Medical University, Lviv have walked towards the Ukraine-Poland border for evacuation. They were dropped around 8 km from the border point by a college bus.
