The members mainly discussed the arrangement for offline Class 10, 12 exams.
During the meeting, the school education department proposed the idea of shutting down the internet services while showing a PowerPoint presentation. According to the report, the state closed internet services within 100 metres of exam centres earlier too.
As per the school education department, more than 11 lakh candidates will appear for the Class 12 exams. The number of Class 12 exam centers is more than Class 10 exam centers, it said.
The authorities also informed that they are not planning to change the schedule of upcoming offline board exams in West Bengal considering that the COVID-19 situation has improved in the state.
