XAT 2022 Analysis and Expected Cut Offs

XAT 2022 exam was held today from 9:30 AM to 12:40 PM. As per the analysis of XAT 2022 question paper, the exam was of moderate difficulty level. XAT Exam Analysis 2022 Highlights

As per the XAT 2022 analysis, the overall paper was easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level. Decision Making section was easier than previous years. Verbal section too had passages that were easily doable. this year, there were two poems for RC. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation section can be considered tougher that the rest with some lengthy questions. GK was also moderate.

This year, XAT witnessed the return of Essay Writing. Candidates were required to write a 250 word essay on one of the two topics. One was on Capitalism and one was on Management.  Essay Writing was clubbed with GK section under Part 2 of the section and was to be attempted at last. The extra 10 minutes added to XAT exam duration should have been utilised in this.

XAT Analysis 2022: Section-wise

The XAT 2022 question paper was divided into two parts. Part 1 had VALR, DM and QADI sections and Part 2 had GK and Essay Writing. With overall difficulty as moderate to tough, the cut off is expected to be around 32-33. Check section wise XAT 2022 analysis below:

XAT 2022 Analysis: VALR

The level of difficulty and type of questions in this section were same as last year. There were four RC passages having 12 questions. This year, there were two poems having three questions each.  The RC section was easy and doable if you chose the right RC. Grammar and Fill in the Blanks questions were easy. There were to parajumble questions also. They were moderately difficult.

XAT 2022 Analysis: Decision Making

The analysis of XAT 2022 question paper suggests that the Decision Making section was on the easier side. The same observation has been shared by a number of test takers too. There were no singlets or questions from Mathematical/Analytical Reasoning.

XAT 2022 Analysis: Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation

This section of XAT 2022 has 28 questions out of which, 16 were from Quantitative and 12 were from Data Interpretation. The questions were on the easier side, but for a lengthy DI set. In this section 10+ marks can be considered a good score. Given below is the break-up of the section:

XAT 2022 Analysis: General Knowledge

The General Knowledge section of XAT 2022 was of same difficulty as last year. There were tough questions from current affairs and static GK. Topics included geography, polity, literature and science & technology. Out of 25 questions, 8-10 right attempts can be good enough in this section of XAT.
