Tata Memorial Centre M.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam

The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) will be conducting an entrance exam for admissions to Master of Science (M.Sc) Nursing programs offered by the institute on Monday, April 15, 2013.
Eligibility:
- Must have passed B. Sc. Nursing (Basic) with minimum of two years experience after obtaining B. Sc. Nursing (Basic) in an Institution or Community Health setting. One year clinical experience is mandatory.
OR
- Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing degree from recognized university.
OR
- B. Sc. Nursing (IGNOU) with minimum 55% aggregate from recognized university.
OR
- B.Sc. Nursing degree from a Recognized University
- Registered with State Nursing Council.
- Medically fit.
Exam pattern:
- The exam will encompass:
- 100 marks MCQ to be completed in 100 minutes
- Group discussion (30 marks) to be completed in 30 minutes
- VIVA - 20 marks
Total marks = 150
- Candidates who are amongst the top – three times the number of seats available (minimum 50% marks) in the MCQ & Group discussion will be called for the Viva.
- Final merit list will be based on the total scores obtained out of a maximum of 150 marks which will be derived by adding 130 marks (MCQ & Group discussion) and 20 marks (Viva)
Topics wise marks:
- Oncology Nursing – 30 marks
- General Nursing – 20 marks
- General English – 15 marks
- Maths – 15 marks
- General knowledge – 20 marks
