GNM Nursing 2024 Admission
Admission to the GNM Nursing diploma programme is facilitated through entrance tests, with a few colleges allowing merit-based admission. The admission exam is based on the subjects chosen by the candidate in the 12th grade. Every year, the application forms are released by the respective conducting bodies. Some State Nursing Councils along with the State level Health departments organize the GNM Nursing entrance exams and GNM nursing admission 2024 process. The Indian Nursing Council (INC) which is the supreme governing body of Nurses has issued detailed eligibility criteria for GNM Nursing and based on the same, GNM Nursing applications are invited. The admissions to the GNM Nursing diploma programme are concluded based on merit and the entrance test. The INC along with the State Nursing Councils under the aegis of Health and Welfare Ministry, Government of India, and the State Health departments are considered responsible for the admission process of the GNM Nursing diploma course.

GNM Nursing Eligibility 2024
The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has set standard eligibility criteria for the GNM Nursing diploma course. The eligibility criteria are uniform across the states but the allotment of seats is carried out based on the reservation rules of the respective state. Below is the eligibility criteria laid by the INC:
- The aspirant must have cleared class 12 in English and must have secured a minimum of 40 per cent in aggregate in the qualifying examination and English separately from any recognized board State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible for State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However, aspirants with a Science stream will be given a preference
- The aspirant must have passed class 12 in English securing 40 per cent in aggregate in vocational ANM courses from any Institute recognized by the Indian Nursing council
- The aspirant must have passed class 12 with English securing 40 per cent in aggregate in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre
- The aspirant must be a Registered ANM having a qualifying mark
The GNM is a three-year diploma course in Nursing with six months of a mandatory internship is the diploma course that can be pursued after class 12 irrespective of the stream taken in the qualifying exam (class 12).
