Meghalaya ANM 2020 Application forms have been released by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya, Shillong on its official website. Interested candidate can apply by September 8, 2020.

Meghalaya ANM 2020 Application Form has been released on the official website of the conducting body, the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya, Shillong. The process will facilitate admissions to the Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) which is a two-year diploma programme in nursing. Candidates can fill the application form by September 8, 2020.

About Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM)

ANM or the Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery is a diploma course which emphasizes on training of the nurses as a community health worker. The course trains the students on how to take care of medical equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain the records of the patients in small communities. The programme is more focused on the basic training. Hence. Candidates pursuing ANM programme are expected to have a knowledge of the basic concepts of nursing as well as being able to provide first aid and primary medical care to the patient. 

Meghalaya ANM Nursing Eligibility

Meghalaya ANM Nursing eligibility Criteria is decided by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) in accordance with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya, Shillong. Below are is the eligibility criteria for Meghalaya ANM nursing.

  • Only unmarried female candidates who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent residents of the State are eligible to apply.
  • The minimum age of the candidates should be 17 years as on December 31, 2020
  • The upper age limit is 30 years
  • The candidate should have passed class 12 examination recognized by MBOSE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or any other recognized equivalent examination from any stream
  • Applicants shall be medically fit

How to Fill Meghalaya ANM 2020 Application Form

  • Candidates have to visit the official website of Directorate of Health Services (MI), Government of Meghalaya, http://www.meghealth.gov.in/
  • On the homepage, at the bottom, in the ‘What’s New’ section, candidates will see notifications and have to click on ‘Apply ANM Course’ icon.
  • Candidates will be redirected to the application page where they have to provide various details such as name of Candidate, Gender, Date of Birth, Age (as on December 31, 2020), Mobile Number, Category, Percent of Marks in Class 12, Stream in Class 12, Physically Disabled (Yes or No) in the first column of the application form.
  • In the second column candidates have to submit their Parent's /Guardian's Name, Permanent Address and Address of communication.
  • In the third and last column candidates have to upload the enclosures such as Passport size photograph, Age proof (Birth Certificate/Class 10 Admit Card, Class 12 Marksheet. Optional - ST/SC Certificate, Permanent Residential Certificate, Disability Certificate). The size of the photograph should not exceed 400Kb and for others the file size should be 500Kb all in JPEG image format.
  • After enclosing all the documents, candidates have to enter the captcha key and accept the declaration by ticking on the declaration and then have to click on the submit button.

Meghalaya ANM 2020 Admission Process

  • Candidates have to first apply for the Meghalaya ANM 2020 online by visiting the official website of Directorate of Health Services (MI), Government of Meghalaya, Application which does not fulfil the requirement as per the Indian Nursing Council (INC) are subjected to rejection. The conducting body will not accept or entertain any application after the last date of submission.
  • The list of eligible candidates for Screening will be published on the official website
  • The conducting body will announce the date of screening later
  • Selection of candidates who are medically fit and eligible will be made purely on the basis of merit and subject to reservation policy of the State Government.
  • The list of selected candidates eligible for the undergoing the course will be displayed on the notice board of Directorate Of Health Services (MI), Shillong and Office Of The District Medical & Health Officer, Tura, West Garo Hills and on Government website. No individual invitation will be sent to the selected candidates.
  • Selected candidates are to report immediately to the Deputy Director Nursing, Directorate of Health Services (MI) for further instruction as the case may be.
  • Selected candidates who fail to report according to the fixed date will automatically lose their right to nomination, and the next eligible candidate from the merit list will be nominated.
