Application form for Meghalaya ANM and Meghalaya GNM training programmes are now available on the official website of Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya and candidates will be able to the application form till September 8, 2020.

Meghalaya ANM Nursing and Meghalaya GNM Nursing applications are available now. The Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya, Shillong has started inviting the application form for the diploma level course ANM and GNM. The application form for the Meghalaya ANM which is a two-year programme in Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) training and Meghalaya GNM which is a three-year course in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) for the session 2020-21. The application is available on the official website of the conducting body, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya and can be filled till September 8, 2020.

Meghalaya ANM Nursing Eligibility

Meghalaya ANM Nursing eligibility Criteria is decided by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) in accordance with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Meghalaya, Shillong. Below are is the eligibility criteria for Meghalaya ANM nursing.

  • Only unmarried female candidates who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent residents of the State are eligible to apply.
  • The minimum age of the candidates should be 17 years as on December 31, 2020
  • The upper age limit is 30 years
  • The candidate should have passed class 12 examination recognized by MBOSE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or any other recognized equivalent examination from any stream
  • Applicants shall be medically fit

Meghalaya ANM Nursing Eligibility

    • Unmarried male/female candidates who are indigenous inhabitants or permanent residents of the State are eligible to apply
    • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years as on 31st December 2020. The upper age limit is 35 years and for candidates who are Registered ANM there is no age bar.
    • The candidate should have passed class 12 level examination with 40 percent in aggregate from any recognized University/Board. Candidates from the State open School recognized by State government and National Institute of open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government are also eligible. However, candidates from Science stream are preferable.
    • Candidates with English having 40 percent in aggregate in Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from recognized CBSE Board/ State/ Centre can also apply
    • Candidates who are Registered Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) with class 12 educational qualification are also eligible
    • In case of disabled Candidates, 3 percent disability reservation is considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40 percent to 50 percent of lower extremity after being thoroughly examined and certified by a Medical & Health Officer.

Other Important Things Candidates Should Keep In Mind

  • Application which do not fulfil the requirement as per the Indian Nursing Council (INC) are subjected to rejection
  • The conducting body will not accept or entertain any application after the last date of submission
  • The list of eligible candidates for Screening will be published on the official website
  • The conducting body will announce the date of screening later
  • Selection of candidates who are medically fit and eligible will be made purely on the basis of merit and subject to reservation policy of the State Government.
  • The list of selected candidates eligible for the undergoing the course will be displayed on the notice board of Directorate Of Health Services (MI), Shillong and Office Of The District Medical & Health Officer, Tura, West Garo Hills and on Government website. No individual invitation will be sent to the selected candidates.
  • Selected candidates are to report immediately to the Deputy Director Nursing, Directorate of Health Services (MI) for further instruction as the case may be.
  • Selected candidates who fail to report according to the fixed date will automatically lose their right to nomination, and the next eligible candidate from the merit list will be nominated.
